I am so overjoyed and greatful to be alive and be sober today, my 4th sober Christmas. Thank God for sobriety and everything we learn along the way!
I had a thought over the holiday, “it would be nice if I were a “normal” person and could have a few drinks and stop.” Then I played the tape all the way through and praised my higher power for everything I have learned thus far to keep me from drinking. I truly feel like chains have been broken.

Well done, that made me wonder…how many sober Christmas do I have? And yes, it’s my 4th as well!

I’ve just made it thru two, got to admit, the ground had felt a bit shaky this year

I’m in the 4 club also although this year was far easier spending the day in bed. It’s a day to be very vigilant about. I find most relapses especially from long term sobriety happen on Xmas Day or NYE. It’s a fucker of a week for some.
