You’re here, so that’s a positive step. Don’t beat yourself up about slipping. It happens to many, maybe most, of us. But you are back to working on your sobriety. What are your plans to stay sober?

Do the steps, attend a.a meetings again, possibly find a sponsor. . just keep moving forward sober.

Welcome back! Very few people get sober on the first try. But I can tell you what was the final straw for me. I’m sure you’ve heard of the “kindling effect.” Logic would say that the second time you quit should be easier than the first. I mean, you got a lot of the stuff out of your system, but it’s actually the opposite. Every time you quit, the physical withdrawal is more and more dangerous. And difficult. That’s why when you simply google alcohol withdrawal, they say everybody is different and it will depend on how much you drink, how long, age, and how many times you quit. That might be something you can keep in the back of your mind because even minor withdrawals were no fun for me. Sleepless nights. Agitation. Keep coming back, we care about you!

@Luula I’ve heard that if we wait until we’re ready to work on our recovery we may never get clean and may never get or stay sober.

I don’t know anybody that has been able to do it themself
