Anyone take acamprosate? Does it work? Side effects?
I am on that. Not many side effects but it can make you a little drowsy at first but once you have been taking it a week or so your body gets used to it. Are u on the 333 mg?
No. Finishing up my Librium taper and then I’m going to suggest it to my Dr. when I follow up
I was on librium too (only 5 MG tablet for a week) and then switched to acomprosate. Luckily I have an addiction doctor who specializes in the stuff. He highly recommended it to me.
I’m also on Buspar and naeltrxone. Also effective in alcohol and drug recovery. I would research them as well if your deciding to go the medical route during your recovery. I take a lot of pills but none of them are narcotic or addicting and they have helped me a lot in early recovery. You do not have to be on them forever
I’ll do that. Thanks
I also take acomprosate, it’s a lifesaver!
