Is there anyone who is addicted to porn and/or fantasies that escalated to tabu stuff? This has gone down with me making more connections. I am moving towards craving more normal connection lately, through sobriety. I believe the tabu attraction was all about power. Also frustration of not getting love. I am trans woman, so need for validation was higher than most.

I think many porn addicts end up escalating from “vanilla” porn to more taboo, hardcore, and in some circumstances even illegal content.
From my understanding, a lot of it comes down to the dopamine and always chasing that little bit more/different/weirder/kinkier in order to try and get “satisfaction”.
Of course, it isn’t really satisfaction, it’s just a temporary reprieve before the nagging urges are back and you are looking for the next taboo thing to watch.
There are a couple of active threads for sex & porn addicts, with plenty of like-minded people who’ve been through similar (if not the same) issues.

Thanks, it is an attempt to move away from human to more animalistic aspects, which are lower vibrations which makes one feel invincible… thanks for replying. How are you? What is your journey?
