Advice on withdrawals

Hi all, I am new and on day 3 sober. Boy its been rough! I went through the sicky feelings and now I have these weird auditory hallucinations. Has anyone experienced this and if so how long did it last? Its making me crazy! Thank you, Victoria

My suggestion would be to reach out for medical attention while withdrawing from your DOC. About what you write you have severe withdrawing effect which can be dangerous and even lethal. Even in a detox centre I nearly died. Take good care, this means reaching out for care….

Welcome, Victoria! I hope you find TS as helpful as I have. IDK your situation, or what your DOC is, but it’s always a good idea to get some medical advice for your symptoms. It can be hard to do, but your health is important! Wish you well, and congrats for taking on this sober journey. It’s rough going for a while, but I promise you it will get better.:mending_heart::peace_symbol:

100% go to see your doctor. I’m 5½ months sober and I’m no expert on anything but if I was going anyone advice about getting sober from anything it would be 1) see your doctor 2) take time off work 3) invest a lot of time in into self care. I didn’t do any of that & I wish I had. Work was a distracting but I felt awful. My DOC is alcohol. I hope your feel well soon & congrats on deciding to get sober it is so worth it.

Thank you Lisa, sorry I didnt see your reply, getting used to this app. I am much better now,
spent the last week drinking water and gatorade. Feel pretty normal now. I have taken some time from work and am laying low at
home. It does help a lot. Thank you so much for your reply and congrats on your 5 1/2 months,
thats amazing!!
