I hace recently moved to Jacksonville NC and all i know are my 2 youngest children and their families!none of which are addicts or truly understand! I tend to stay in my head!

Welcome Tina! Addiction and sobriety can be lonely, but there’s many many people who understand it here 
Maybe you could look into local AA/NA meetings so you can meet new sober friends in your area to have a solid foundation in your recovery. All the best

Addiction feeds off isolation, do your best to find support groups and attend meetings, even if virtually if you can’t find in person.
This place is full of helpful information and people.

Thank you very much! I havebeen getting out to do necessary things such as grocery shopping, doctors etc! I will search for meetings today! Thank you for welcoming me!

Stay strong and welcome to TS! I have oh so many memories of that town! If you have wheels go exploring, New Bern or Atlantic beach are cool towns, or at least they were. Got my 1st tattoo there in Jacksonville in 89’…

Tha k you very much! I have found there is a lot to do here! I am looking in to meetings! I have been staying busy with my grandchildren that I have not seen in 2 years! I am not sure if it’s loneliness or boredom. I think a bit of both. I do have the dog at home with me and that helps me swell. Thank you very much.

IAM new on here aswell and have been struggling the past few days IAM clean 12 days today and everyday has been a struggle. Been active on here and been able to talk to people who are in the same boat as you had helped me alot I also felt I was on my own and to be honest have never felt so alone until I came on here
