Am Grateful Today

Just expressing how grateful I am today to have this group available.

I’m an AA “member” and am truly grateful for that fellowship. But I’ve never found that to be enough.

In my experience there’s no room at AA for discussion surrounding Mental Health etc. Only talk about what’s in the Big Book. For those suffering far beyond alcoholism that’s not enough.

An example is a recent post I made about Misophonia. In my Home Group at least that would be brushed off never to be addressed. Yet is one of the things at the root of my alcoholism.

Thankful to be here and freely express myself and able to return the same.

Make it a !!Great Weekend!! everyone

I’m grateful that you have found some extra support in TS. It’s a great place to talk about what’s on your mind or what’s challenging your mind. This app has been a lifesaver in my sobriety, besides SMART meetings and therapy. Combined, they prove effective in addressing underlying issues for my alcohol addiction, enhancing motivation and building positivity.

It is vitally important to get to the core of why you chose to drink. This community has been so supportive, even with my random thoughts. Hopefully, you can find support here as well. Wishing you all the best, you’ve got this!

Hear hear! 100% agree. Also if you are dealing with mental health and addiction see if theres a dual recovery anonymous meeting near you! (DRA) Theyre more accepting of meds and mental status discussion.
