You should be proud. It’s always a challenge when it’s right in front of you. And it’s always a great feeling when you have a choice to use or not to use and you choice not to use. Just be strong and take it one day at a time
Good for you! Things like that happen for me too. I’m grateful to be learning to let them pass, like boats floating down the river (while I’m watching from shore). I don’t have to get on the boat. It eventually floats away with the current, and I can let it go. I’m grateful for that.
Good for you! My wife always tells me she’s grateful her DOC was heroin, not alcohol, because alcohol is everywhere. I guess your experience reminds us, especially those of us relatively new to sobriety, that we have to be vigilant.
