Last year I lost my cousin Emily to a drug overdose. She went silent for three days before her body was found.

Just woke from a nightmare. I went searching for you and I found you in my dreams. I hugged you but you were only air and a pair of eyes. I sobbed, crying out “oh, Emily.” I apologized for not being around more. I asked if you were okay and you promised me you were before I snapped awake.

I love you, cousin. We all miss you so much, and while we will all have to reconcile our grief in our earthly realm, I’m so glad you’re suffering has come to a close and I know I’ll see you again. :black_heart:

If you ever have any doubt about the value of your sobriety - don’t. Your loved ones need you.
