Yes. Another day in paradise. Sober. That’s all we got. Every day. I love this. It’s 4:30am here. Hearing the birds outside. Waking up with no regret and happy. This IS the life :two_hearts:

What about AA in your city or around? It’s for free and you find a sponsor and you do the 12 steps. There are tons of online meetings too.

Can’t tell you how happy your sober posts make me! Laura, you’re on fire! :fire::grin:

I’m loving that you’re saying NO to parties. He will get used to hearing it, and will stop badgering you about them eventually. He needs to see this is the new you, and to see and believe it himself. You’re taking care of yourself, putting yourself first.

Star is spot on about vitamins. Alcohol really stops us getting the nutrients that we need. Particularly vitamin B1 / Thiamin. It’s one of the main things that is given to alcoholics in recovery. I buy this online, a brand called AYA. It is important for energy levels, but also normal nervous system and psychological functioning. The nervous system takes a real battering when we drink. I tie the panic attacks I used to get DIRECTLY to this. Iron and vitamin B12 also help towards your energy levels too. If you take iron, then take vitamin C with it too, as it helps with absorption. You can take it with orange juice or a vitamin C supplement. Spatone is a well reviewed liquid iron supplement, which you can add to orange. Star is also right on about Milk thistle as well. I think you can get this in Holland and Barrett for eg.
Floradix is a good brand of health tonic, I’m sure I’ve bought it in Tesco, so you don’t necessarily need a pharmacy for it. It’s fantastic that you want to start taking care of yourself :people_hugging:

You’re doing great, keep checking in!! Get sober Sunday done :white_check_mark:
