Never heard of this lad before - he’s from London. Good to see you @Tito23
Wanted to save this one for later this month, but since you’re back and that makes me glad this one’s for you Pedro
One of those ones I put off buying for years because copies were plentiful and easy to come by.
'Til they weren’t.
Then after many years, it was finally repressed last month. Feels good to add this one, now I have the three WS albums I want in my collection. This one was huge for me and my good-natured but delinquent buddies in high school. It came out right around the time we all started smoking weed and lifting cigarettes/liquor from our parents.
Conclusion? Jack White made me into a bad egg!
The White Stripes - Elephant, 2003.
Oh man priest has been a long time fav! Had to reply with this for ya AA! Probably one of their best imo.
Bye for now…
Bon Jovi: It’s my life
Black May #2
Fleetwood Mac - Mirage, 1982.
You know, there was several years where Tusk was without a doubt my favorite Mac album, and it was regularly in the discussion for my all-time favorite album - period. I had heard Mirage previously, and it was far too "Dad-Rock"ish for me at the time (that whole assumption/misconception/foolishness is also why I didn’t even bother with FM at all until my mid 20s, at which point I realized I was an idiot and that the songwriting is exceptional).
Then I went back to Mirage years later (I wanna say mid-2018) and it clicked. Every single song has such great pop sensibility, and in diverse ways. Amazing writing, amazing melodies, and that killer FM harmonizing.
Like any FM work from this lineup, Stevie and Christine produce some classics…but as is the case with Tusk, in my opinion, the Buckingham tracks are the tops.
A rare occasion where I simply cannot pick one tune.
FYI (might go without saying) but in the performance of “Eyes Of The World”, I’d wager that Mick Fleetwood is on enough cocaine to keep an entire cartel afloat for a few weeks. Granted, they all were - Mick just looks it!
Def want to get out on some nice hikes this spring and summer! My favorite time to enjoy the mountains. Happy trails to you!
Bye for now…
Another black album. This track came out as a single 40 years ago today
Peace to Everyone!
Some hot temps around, I see you British and Euros are going to have “summer like temps”!
Let’s smash a few cliches ![]()

ZULU: straight from da tribe of da moon
Trigger Warning
Too right!
There’s this one downtempo loungy track running around my head with a harpsichord, but I can’t remember what it is exactly… Looking for it I do run into some other classic tunes though. Like this one.
