They are doing a 40th anniversary tour that Iā€™m looking to get tickets to.

I saw blackie many years ago as a solo artist at a small venue it was pretty wild, but it was more of an acoustic only set I want to see the all out show

For sure man!!

Funny story, so when I was in Texas with @DeadMist we went to a record store cause weā€™re geeks like that, and I bought that cassette cause it was the first cassette tape I ever owned. 2nd was a 2fer on my birthday my grandmother got me and justice for all and ride the lightning

@Mno

After speaking to my Mom this morning on the phone for the first part of Chiefā€™s morning playtime, I felt like listening to music for the first time in a week. I have said plenty of times that I know something is really off with me when I donā€™t want to eat (which remains a truth), but I donā€™t know that I had ever been so low that I didnā€™t want music.
So I had my headphones in anyhow and gravitated to Billy Joel. I always forget that many of his tunes lift my spirits some, just solely based on how talented he is and his songwriting.

Still yet to fully turn the corner but it helped this morning for a bit.

Glad to hear/see T. I hear what you say. Goes for me too. Although with the climbing of the years (jeez that sounds bad) I do appreciate silence ever more too.

I found the tune I was looking for @Apollo_666 Funny how I first remembered the image the label heā€™s on (seven beats music) on used for some mix on YT. And after listening to loads of half forgotten stuff on my HD. Enjoying it.

Been following this guy on YT for a while since The Smiths are one of my favorite bands and he covers them frequently. He puts together some really nice solo acoustic arrangenents, and his voice is quite similar to that of Morrissey.

I personally love covering this one myself, but he does it better :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Well.
Today I should be at Cruel World Festival in Pasadena, CA to see the likes of Morrissey, Blondie, Devo, and several other favorite bands. I had been waiting on this since early 2020 when it was originally announced and then struck down because of the pandemic. I had a ticket for the original and got a new one upon this revival/reschedule.

But, too close to my surgery and no way in hell I could even get there (7 hrs by car) safely, let alone attend and be on foot all day, in my current condition.

Fucking downer, but I guess youtube videos after the fact will have to do. Iā€™ve seen Mozzer before, but was really hoping to see Blondie and Devo. Debbie Harry is nearly 80, so who knows how much longer there. DEVO doesnā€™t do proper tours anymore, but they pop up in LA from time to time so maybe someday. However, they too are up there in age at this point.
