Happy Birthday Keith Richards! Dec 18, 1943
One of the world’s great guitarists with an unusual sound thanks to his frequent playing in “open G tuning”
@James6 where are you? I hope all is well. It was my pleasure to watch 13 ±Stones concerts, Live, 2021 No Filter tour, on the internet this fall. Loved each performance and they were better than in this 2013 rendition. I thought if they can get out there on stage and play some of their best performances ever, I can watch them!
This posted one ,from Glastonbury had the best video of Keith starting out so I picked it.

I just watched The Harder they Come, don’t know if anyone else has seen it? It has Jimmy Cliff as the main character. It’s a pretty average film but it was cool to see what Jamaica was like in the 70’s. This was the best bit.

The whole film is on YT if anyone is curious.

I prefer Rockers although I love Jimmy Cliff. Rockers was made a couple of years later, more my own youth (it came out in 1978, when I started grammar school). Awesome soundtrack. A lot of ganja smoking though. No escaping it, not in this clip either. So a trigger warning for old pothead addicts like myself. Whole movie is on YT too.

Getting up and getting in the mood for a long hike

This song I love. Have a good walk/hike and vacation, @Mno :hugs:
“There’s a place high on a mountain
Where I go to find relief
Set my feet back on the ground
Set my spirit free
Put on my walking shoes
Got the high lonesome blue”

Belgian bands are criminally underrated.

Still the only all-female band to top the Billboard charts with an album of self-written music while playing their own instruments. Hard to believe that hasn’t happened again in 40 years since.

Great band, great album (one of the most successful debut albums of all time, actually).

The harmonizing is different here from the studio version. Whoever is taking that high harmony is a beast!
