I been experiencing a lot more anxiety since I quit weed but if i drink it becomes way worse so im coping by removing or reducing caffine. Some cognitive behaviour reading and some meditations. Stay focused on the good and recognize the anxiety and address it before it becomes an attack. Best of luck I know how difficult anxiety is but going back to DoC makes it worse.

Thanks for the advice :blush:never had a panic attack before thank god ,I try breathing exercises at night before bed and it helps to relax and sleep ,I also don’t drink coffee anymore because of the high heart rate :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:it’s a shame cause I used love the stuff

@Darren_Coakelin I think it’s pretty normal. I felt anxious for around first 15 days or so. I still get it from time to time. It does get better. It sounds like you don’t have it too bad which is good. The best thing that’s worked for me is just experience and recognizing anxiety when it hits.

Yep, anxiety is normal. Your brain is resetting. Alcohol rewires your brain and when you stop drinking it freaks out. Basically you have to unwire now. It takes time and the severity can vary person to person. Just know that your body and mind are healing.
I use lavender essential oil. Walgreens sells a rollerball oil that is easy to use. Yogi brand Kava Stress Relief tea works for me too.
You can also find some good meditations on YouTube to help with anxiety and alcohol use or there’s a meditation app called “Calm”.
