Ice cream…lots of ice cream. Stay actively engaged in activities…don’t allow idleness unless it’s time for a nap, in which case allow yourself to sleep as much as needed. Your body will be tired, detoxing is physically exhausting. Realize you will be edgy and depressed for a couple days…do things to help alleviate those feelings, get outside, take a bath, listen to music, meditate, go to the gym…whatever your jam. Be kind to yourself, allow the healing to happen.

I’m a fine one to talk because I can’t get myself to start the 12 steps but another saying is to get out of your comfort zone. Being comfortable got us into this mess

Pray! Get an accountability partner to call or have them call you regularly. Don’t do it alone, you will not succeed if you try it on your own. For me it was about my faith in God, my solid foundation. 2 years sober.
