Hey everyone! My name is Sara and I’m an alcoholic/addict. I’m 26 days sober and coming off really bad from benzos. They have a way longer withdrawal period than other drugs and the symptoms are consistently annoying but sometimes get really really bad. Anyways I’m really struggling so I thought I’d introduce myself.
Congrats on your fight and wanting to quit. I haven’t been addicted to benzos but my 16 year old son is and he almost lost his life because of overdosing on xanax. At the moment he is in a safe place but not quite owning up to his addiction. I understand his struggle because I have the same with sleeping meds (but it is under control and I can function - it’s there but I can function).
