Anyone tried Liver Pro XL UK Product

I have decided to give my liver a clean out with Liver pro XL which I bought from amazon. Before I purchased it I went through all the reviews and they looked good. I also went through all ingredients and googled them to know what I was going to be swallowing and again the ingredients looked great. I started taking them Sunday. I have noticed I am a bit more tired than usual and this is opposite to what I should feel. I have had a headache for last two days but it could be just a bug? I want to persist taking them every morning for the next 50 plus days. What is your experience of this product if you have had it?

What does it say that it will do to.clean up your liver?

@jakee01 How long have you been sober? Tiredness is common in early sobriety.

Had a quick Google and it says you should drink 2 litres of water per day when taking them. If you’re not staying hydrated that could explain the tiredness and your head.

Its all heallthy ingredients

Hi Sarah thanks for the info on the water. 52 days.

I’m just curious because I have never heard of it and my Google is broken today lol. Generally when it comes to something like that I would run it by a doctor first as well.

I discussed taking this or Milk Thistle with my Gp as I thought my liver could probably use the help. His advice was that the liver is more than able to take care of itself and that these products have little if anything to add and can sometimes cause further damage if there is any. I decided against it but that’s just my experience, I’d advise chatting to your Gp first

Thanks for advice

How’s it going? Did you try it?

I wanted to respond earlier because these detox things really get my goat. Yes! What your doctor said. Your liver IS your detoxer.

Kidneys: Cleans the blood of toxins and urine, which in turn cleans the bladder . Drink water to keep your kidneys working well.
Liver: Processes alcohol. It’s the only organ in the body that can completely regenerate. Include anti-oxidants in your diet to keep it healthy.
Lungs: Rids the body of waste.

Lots of fruit, water and green veggies. Oh and some time and patience.

I have been taking it for two weeks. I have a 90 day supply and all of its ingredients are generally things like, garlic, beetroot, tumeric, dandilion root, l acyl cartadine. I really haven’t noticed much. I did feel more alert for a while but that has seemed to have worn off. I feel really fatigued this week but I am getting head pain where I banged my head in a car accident in January. I have also just started taking omega 3 fish oil.

Your right, I’m a Medical Nurse and have been for 20+ years so I pretty much already knew what my Gp would say but I thought I’d run it past him in case he thought there could be any benefit to it. I was a bit loathed to spend money on something if there was nothing to gain especially if it could be harmful

When I wanted to heal my liver a bit i just loaded up on beets. I was peeing and pooping red for a week!!

But really, I believe your liver is fully regenerated in like 6 weeks (assuming it isn’t too damaged…but if it’s too damaged all the products in the world won’t help you either). But I don’t think you’re taking anything dangerous. Hey, it’s got beetroot in it so… LOL

I sometimes drink organic beetroot juice. I think there is a stigma towards homeopathy but I was brought up on it and I don’t see the harm in using herbal supplements for so many months of the year. I am thinking of just concentrating on healthy eating. I love my fruit these days.
