Welcome, stay sober long enough and fear disappears or at the very least you learn a way to manage it. Livers can heal if we never pick up so take it one day at a time and all will be well.

Welcome @MeLissa718!
The good news is liver damage can be reversed in most cases as long as you remain sober. Be honest with your doctor and stay positive.

Many of us will have been there. The liver is an amazing organ, and in most cases can make a comeback. Stay strong, take that step to get advice. You won’t regret it.

It is a question of time. First of all: be sincere with doctor.
Do not worry, liver recovers quicker as we can think.
My last as a drunk man experience were high values in liver parameters after an usual analysis. After five months of sobriety liver values turn ok.

Last but not least: do not relax in your drinking patterns. The only way to have a healthy liver is do not drink for the rest of your life.

And the rest of your life starts now. :+1:

Welcome! You are among friends here, try not to worry too much. You have made one of the best decisions you can make by becoming sober. Well done on being honest and realising you have no control over alcohol. I’m so glad you found us :pray:t2::two_hearts:

You’re not alone on the regrets of past doings or on this path to freedom. Ok, can’t change those past decisions gotta simply accept it. And we go smartly forward every day not repeating the past as it is truly insane to do so.
Feel better soon & hugs to ya.
