I’m currently listening to the Bridgerton series. I have liked some books more than others but overall I’m enjoying them.

I also like biographies and I’ve listened to Will Smith’s book, Jessica Simpson, Britney Spears, Matthew Perry and Jada Smith. I liked all of them expect for Jada’s. I wasn’t a big fan of hers. Jessica and Matthew talked about sobriety and becoming sober but the others where just interesting.

TY! I like bios too, but rn I’m looking for some juicy fiction to get lost in. You should listen to Viola Davis’ bio if you haven’t yet. Thanks, again!

It’s a bit vulgar in places, as is Nesbo’s general fiction…

The Kingdom and it’s sequel Blood Ties by Jo Nesbo on Audible were incredible. The story is juicy and full of sex, devilish backstabbing, dysfunction and family drama. Some murder too. Set in Norway, a fictional northern village. So good I was hooked and raced thru both of them.

I loved it. The reader was good too.

That shines an entirely new light on my parents being big Jo Nesbø fans :joy:

Personally he’s my favourite male modern writer too…. Very nitty gritty and real shall we say……

Rivers of London by Ben Aaronovitch
It’s a whole book series. It’s crime and fantasy, with a bit of magic.

The invisible library by Genevieve Cogman
It’s full on fantasy with different worlds and dimensions, dragons (that mostly have human form) and a whole world that is just a library. Following a librarian who retrieves unusual or dangerous books from different worlds.
Also a book series.

Murder at Holly House by Dezil Meyrick
Set in the 1950s in Yorkshire. A classic whodunit. A corpse, a cop, a manor house, a village in the Yorkshire moors during the Christmas period.
This was my audiobook last Christmas, the Author has a new one for this year: The Christmas Stocking Murders - I’m looking forward to it.

I’ve been reading/listening to Jodi for years! I love how there is always an underlying theme that she heavily researches, or her staff now that she is a national author. This time was honeybees and transgender people. Good stuff!
