Thank you! We are doing great. Thankfully I live up in the hills so the storm didn’t affect us as bad as the rest of the state.

So today we had a new addition. I could tell he was new because he could not land. He tried about 5 times and was just spooked.

He kept trying though bless his little cotton socks

Then he thought out side the box and came in for the landing on the bottom level, under the main landing pad :joy:

Not a single cockatoo has done this yet!

The little innovative cutie :joy:

He was hesitant taking the almonds from me.

He flew off after about 5 mins because there was too much landing conjestion on the main landing pad :joy:

It was pouring rain all day yesterday. Non stop. So the crew didn’t turn up because of the rain.

So this morning at 6.30 right at sunrise, 22 (!!) Of them turned up :joy:

Then I had 3 different visits through out the day and they stayed for like an hour each time!

Then at 5pm, one of the younger ones came back and hung out with me watching the TV from the window lol.

It was fascinated with the TV and the sound!

It started having conversations with me in gibberish lol but it wasnt squaking, it was making a ton of conversation noises !! This is the first time this has happened to this degree of amazing.

I was sitting on my bed talking to it while it was trying to work out how to jump down to me. It wanted to come inside !

Then his buddies started squawking for him so he said his byes and flew off.

Such a fun day

Thank you Julie :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

The crow is quite amazing isn’t it

I haven’t seen it for two days because it was pouring rain non stop ( same time as the hurricane in the u.s actually, and I’m in Australia, how interesting, the earth must need a good shower  ) so the crow didn’t turn up because of the rain.

But I’ve definetly formed a bond with it. It comes to the same spot every morning to meet me lol

Your bond with these birds is amazing, so special! Aren’t you in Melbourne? Me, too - but USA. Small world. When I book flights I have to be careful not to book out of AUS. :slightly_smiling_face: We have green wild parrots here, but no one I’ve met has connected with them. Stay safe my friend and keep posting these great updates. They always bring smiles. :purple_heart::blue_heart:

The crow is meeting you in the park? So sweet

Yep, it seen me with the cockatoos and came to me like a jealous sibling

I normally sit with the crow first, but it came and found me on its own in a different spot in the park.

It was very teritorial and kept staying with me eating out of my hand, when ever one of the cockatoos had finished there seeds and was walking up to get more off me, the crow got all protective and jelous and didn’t want the cockatoos near me :joy:

The crow then had to fly off coz there was about 15 cockatoos and one crow so it was out numbered :joy:

This afternoon the crew were waiting for me at 4pm when I was coming home from the supermarket…

As I walked toward my block I could see them in the distance flying from the street light pole to my closed window… They didnt know I was under them watching them… They were like teenagers trying to break into a house lol…

So I yelled "hiiiiiii…!!! " and they all looked down and seen me and started squawking…

By the time I got in the lift and up to my apartment, they were all waiting for me on my window cill :joy: they are so perceptive and so smart…

But then I had a special guest visit for the first time… A big fat pregnant mumma cockatoo!!

She was so swollen and chubby all over and could hardly walk because her belly was full with babies!! She had to waddle over to me to feed her :joy:

I made sure I feed her extra well and she was the last to leave, she stayed for about 45 min eating

Maybe one day she will bring her babies to meet me :joy:

This is her…
