Binge eating recovery daily check in thread (Part 3)

Thank you Jana for sharing ur experience as well! Isnt it truly amazing what we can learn about ourselves when we sort of analyze our behaviours and in this case, our foods and when we eat etc? Im sooo glad ur noticing some results too! Ive never tried to eat 6 meals a day, but I could absolutely see that working!

I hope ur having an amazing day friend! :rose:

28 days no binge

I am finding really difficult eating 6 meals a day. Yesterday I was so overfull that I felt the food coming back to my throat when I lied down. I’m definitely not keeping this up once the therapy ends. It’s too much and I don’t even have time to eat so often. It makes me angry that I have to :joy::joy::joy::joy:

Could u possible reduce the amount of food in each meal? What constitutes for a meal in ur therapy sessions? Like could u have an apple as a meal?

I think eating 6 actual meals a day would be alot for me too! I find when i get over full from eating it sorts of mentally makes me feel like Ive binged. Even tho i could have eaten a huge salad and been full. The feeling of fullness triggers me. Not sure if thats the same for u too. But yes, i can understand why 6 meals is a lot.

 That sounds like a good solution. I will try it.
It should be snacks between main meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner).

Tonight I did eat more than I needed. It was no binge, no snacking, no disordered
eating. Just a little too much food. So I‘m fine with it.

Tomorrow I will plan my meals so I don’t eat more than I need.

Love you, my lovely people :purple_heart:

Day 8
Wow i cant believe im past the 1 week point! Kinda scary lol But im excited at the same time  I went on my ED zoom group today which was good and then went for a workout. I also got my meds today and took my noon med for my ED. Not sure if its helping yet. But I will see how the late evening goes as thats when I noticed my morning med wear off (which is why my Dr put me on a dose at noon to help). Hope everyone is doing okay today!

Day 1889 : No binge today.

I have to start over again.
Last 2 days I binged on white bread and chocapic. I know exactly where I made a mistake, I didn’t eat enough during the day so in the evening I went crazy on food, not the best one too. And guess what, next day I repeat it. So stupid. Will I learn from this mistake and plan my meals better? Fuck knows. It happened so many times already.
But I won’t give up.
Starting day 1.

Not stupid, love. Don’t beat yourself up. Be extra gentle and kind towards yourself. You deserve it.

Planning meals is also important for me. I don’t enjoy cooking, so I found some easy prepared meals that keep me full and nourished.

My late breakfast almost every day is oats with berries and coconut yoghurt with some added rice protein powder. It’s prepared in 5 minutes and keeps me satisfied for hours.

You will find your way, I believe in you :purple_heart:

I am on my period, so that may be an explanation why I ate too much yesterday. I can’t read my body‘s signals clearly when hormones kick in.

Have a peaceful day everyone :purple_heart:

Every day is a learning day.

Yesterday I took the good advice to lower my portions and it’s working so far.
Today I found someone else who doesn’t like prepping food, and it’s a good idea to mix protein with yoghurt for fulfillness. I also like oats and nuts. Will take this away with me too

Hello all.

When I joined this group, I named my Eating Disorder - Ed (a shortcut for eating disorder as well as a name).
When I started my counter, I named it “Ed moved out” :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes: and put a “:light_bulb:” icon to demonstrate that something lightened up in my head haha.
Thought you may find it a little bit funny, so I decided to share it together with my today’s achievement of 30 full days without a single binge episode!!

I love that Ed moved out!!! I think he lived with you long enough.

If he ever feels lonely, he can go visit Mr. Blob, my little binge monster

I am soooooo happy that you reached 30 days. It’s amazing. You learned a lot on the way and did awesome work. Sending warm hugs along your way love :purple_heart:
