This is y’all’s reminder to eat a nutritious meal if you haven’t already to keep the binging away or at least minimize it. Drink water too, it can help a little. :smiling_face:

After a busy morning I‘m taking a nap now. I love that I can rest when I need it. When I start my new job in a month, I will make new routines, so I don’t burn out. For now, I‘m enjoying my free time.

So last night was tough. I had been craving food (when not hungry) all afternoon/evening. I pushed thru, had supper, and then went to bed. Well i couldnt sleep. I ended up waking up at like 1030/11pm to eat a pb and honey sandwich :unamused_face: I came to the realization that pb is on my red light list. I love it too much and its something I also crave when stressed. So its a no-go for me now. I dont WANT to admit that but I have to, if Im to be honest.

Back on track today :slight_smile: I really want to get thru the 12 steps of OA soon. And do them thoroughly. I have a call tmrw at 10am with a potential new sponsor. So hopefully that works out.

I am very well, just super busy lately. I had my mum and her partner over for over 2 weeks. But I want to write something once I find a bit of time, so watch the space :relieved_face:
I keep at least checking on you all and reading through your posts. I was just talking about you with my bf yesterday. I was telling him that here is one very strong woman who I admire. Well…here are more than 1 strong woman in this thread, but you came up on my mind :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

As promised, I am writing at least a short update about me and my journey should it interest some of you :sweat_smile:

I am doing very well. I am struggling to believe that I am over 3 months without binging! 3 months and 5 days today to be precise :smiling_face: The longer I don’t indulge with binging, the less food noise is in my head. Even if I eat sweets I have a limit within myself and feel full after certain amounts, so I don’t need to eat it all at once like I used to. I also used to claim that I don’t understand how someone can have just a little bit of chocolate as opposed to eating it all in one go. I used to joke that these people are probably psychopaths. Now I am one of them and it feels good being able to put it away :grin: And it’s not like I’m forcing it, like I need a willpower to do so. No, it’s natural - I feel full so I put it away and don’t think about it anymore.
So that’s me, living a bit better life when the food isn’t the main topic of the day anymore for me. I got used to have my meals regularly and my body sends me hunger signals when it’s time to eat. So I don’t have to think about this anymore either.
I only need to plan my grocery shopping and cooking, besides that, I feel free from food, cravings and all that shabank. I am very grateful that I reached this peaceful state of mind.
I don’t restrict, I eat absolutely anything I want, I have enough energy to do my exercises, I don’t care about my weight at all and I feel satisfied most of the times when I look in the mirror. My values moved away from this silly obsession with weight and I am happy and I feel freedom since :hugs::heart:

@Jana1988 Wow, love the pictures! I’m glad you enjoyed yourselves! And I am shook on the progress you’ve made so far, even enjoying a smaller portion of chocolate when you otherwise would eat the entire bar. 3 months and 1 week no binge :tada:

Yesterday, I went to my hairdresser and she did my hair really beautifully! I’m going lighter and we’re finally getting to the colour I am aiming for. I feel very pretty now :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: I had to bare colours on my hair which I didn’t like in order to get to this stage, so it’s nice to feel good again :sweat_smile:

Before I left home to visit the hairdresser, I didn’t have time to eat, so I only had an apple. I came home quite late and hungry and over ate. But fortunately didn’t binge :folded_hands:t3: I’m not happy about the over eating but will take it over binging for sure :blush: I need to plan my meals a bit better next time when there’s a busy day ahead. But at least I know now, that I am a type of a person who gets affected by not having food REGULARLY throughout a day.

Coming up to 2 months no binging! There have been a few celebration events, including today which was an afternoon tea event, so cake and scone and clotted cream/jam, and I came home and ate a big chicken salad to balance it up and feeling good.

Well done, @Misokatsu You are doing amazing well! How are you feeling without binging and have you noticed any changes within yourself? Either physical or mental. You must feel so much better :blush::smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

I have written a list of what my trigger foods are as well as the situations that can occur that trigger binge eating/disordered eating. Well I have to add illness to that list. I was not feeling well at all yesterday and was extremely tired. Both of these events are triggers for me to engage in my ED. And unfortunately I didnt do anything to combat my urges… no meeting, no prayer, no TS, no nothing :frowning: I feel awful that I basically gave myself permission to harm myself with food. Last night, i ate an entire pint of Ben & Jerrys icecream. And i ate it soo fast. Even my husband commented on how fast I ate it. And yet he only ate about a 1/3 of his and put his back in the freezer. Like wtf?! How does a person do this?! So of course i felt even worse after he commented that to me. Bcuz im fully aware that I wasnt in control. Its not normal for a person like me, to look over at how fast their partner is eating food so that u can attempt to keep pace with them.

But today, i prayed. I am giving up control and reminding myself of my powerless over food. I brought healthy things to eat at work. I will attempt to join a meeting at work to listen in on. I have recovery literature to read here also. Sooo, today eill be better :smiley:
