Bipolar and sobriety

My doctor kept track of my highs and lows for a few months…

I found out after I stopped drinking. I kept a journal from the time I started realizing my moods weren’t what I considered ‘normal’. Length of moods, what I believed brought them on, eating patterns, sleeping patterns.
When I finally got in to see a social worker (8 months later), I handed her my list, she handed me a questionnaire with , I think 25 questions on it. My answers matched up with bipolar 1, and I got a referral for a pdoc.

I’m type 2 for 15 years
Don’t take any meds at all hated the way they made me like a zombie
I used alcohol to make me sleep but if I’m honest that was like pouring petrol on a fire for bipolar and anxiety
I’m only 16 days sober but with a strict routine of daily walks. Keeping a diary and set bedtimes I can see a massive improvement. Wish u all the luck x
