Finished Chapter 9 today. In this, she talked about widening our circles of compassion, including for people that we struggle with. I could really relate to her challenges with certain figures. This is a real problem for me, and it was interesting to her her work through that. My resentment list includes a number of political figures, who I have never met. It sounds petty but it is real to me - but they cause a visceral reaction in me, clenched body parts, and I adapt my behaviour - donβt read news, watch tv, etc because of it. It was helpful to hear how that can be addressed, though Iβm not quite ready to go there quite yet.
