Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for recovery

2 years in , 3 stripe white belt here.

I do to help me cope with the stress of everday life. It’s helped me stay in shape (somewhat..lol)

I try to go at least 2-3 days a week. Not looking to compete but just to have a hobbie and fun.

Martial arts is good for the soul

Martial arts changed my life. I started shortly after my last drink, and the disciplined training is a huge part of my sobriety. 3rd Dan Blackbelt in Krav Maga, Green Belt in Japanese Jujitsu, also train Dutch Kickboxing and Filipino Martial Arts. I left an unsatisfying career in corporate sales and became a full-time instructor, then a school manager, and finally opened my own school almost 2 years ago.

Oss!

I started BJJ back in 2014. I left and pretty much been in the pub and people’s kitchens since then :man_facepalming:t2:

I’m back in the AA rooms again at the moment, and putting my sobriety first. But when I’m ready, I plan to get back on the Mats Oooooooss :call_me_hand:t3::united_kingdom::martial_arts_uniform:
