Good morning everyone
what are some things you like to incorporate into your mornings/ days that help you continue on with your sobriety?
Lately, I’ve been starting my day off with some peaceful yoga and it’s been helping so much ![]()
I decided to invest some money in a healthy catering. Saves me a lot of time and gives me more control of my healthy habits. So now I’m waking up to a healthy meal and I’m good to go to the gym ![]()

Great topic! I always like to do a morning routine which for me incorporates reading from my daily reflections book, prayer to my HP, and then a workout. I find that when i do this in the mornings, it helps to set my day off right.
Id like to start adding a few things throughout the day tho bcuz i find that my mood starts to go downhill about 1/2 way thru the day. I used to do meditations, which i might add in again ![]()
I do some mindfulness reading with my morning coffee. Maybe some journaling. Deadhead my flowers and enjoy being outside. Every few days I lace up and go for a run. Of course I enjoy all that after I feed the royal overlords (aka cats).
Being able to start the day off right is such an important part about life! And meditations are great! I like to write a small gratitude list during the middle and end of my day and I found that helps keep my mood up! ![]()
That sounds amazing! Being in nature is an amazing way to start the day! ![]()
That’s amazing! The gym is perfect for starting the day, helps with mind and body! ![]()
I like that idea! I think i will give that a try
thanks!
Daily Meditation (10-40 minutes) is the most important habit for me
Hilarious. One of my AA buddies has a cat named “Obno” that is fed first thing. Mandatory!
I’ve found enormous benefits for my overall well-being by completely cutting out alcohol (today marks 800 days! yes, I’m counting) and massively increasing my #fruit intake (on the left, today’s fruit tray).
Great idea to revive this thread!
I have a good evening routine: tea, dogwalk, bed, gratitude, sleep. My phone goes to sleep mode automatically, my alarm gets off every day at the same time. My morning routine is much the same every day including some quiet time with a cup of tea, reflecting on what the day will bring, how I feel, being grateful for what I have.
I used to meditate more, will up my meditation practice, thanks for the reminder.
Congratulations on 800 days!!! Amazing work! Thanks for reviving this thread also! Building healthier habits is something i am working on now and plan to increase this over the summer ![]()
I just did my daily 2 hour walk! It’s too hot outside so I decided to drive to the mall and walk there. My 2 hour walk is basically the only time I feel awake and have no fatigue. It has also been helping me with my weight loss. I’m down 3 pounds since the wedding. So far I’ve lost 1lb a day for the last few days. Im happy with my progress!!!
I love that idea! I’m a certified yoga teacher, but haven’t practiced in a long time. Thanks for the inspiration!! Helpful ![]()
