I choose cake over most pies because I don’t like the pastry…but things like lemon meringue, key lime, or pumpkin pies are really good because they are more filling and less pastry. So my vote is tricky.

I just never saw the infatuation with cake. It makes me happy it makes other people happy, but I get absolutely nothing out of cake.
