Wow thank you everyone, Iā€™ll be tagging you all later in a bit of a post, that in includes some insights. And some surprises, nothing bad, will be funny and well typical me.

Oh and did you know itā€™s Alex Rodriguezā€™s birthday as well? Even if your not a baseball but you should probably know who A-Rod is.

Stay tuned!!

So as I shared before I share a birthday with Alex Rodriguez aka A-Rod

And I also have something in common with the following people Seth Rogan, Jodie Sweetin, Adam Lambert, Jessica Biel, Anne Hathaway, Kelli Clarkson, Kiersten Dunst, lil Wayne, Nikki Minaj

We were all born in 1982, hence we turned 40 this year.

I really struggled with this last year turning 39, and asking what do I want To be when I grow up? An older dude I know from my recovery groups gave me an excellent perspective, he said heh at 40 you know where I was? Prison, I got out my wife left me, I lost my home in foreclosure and I was broke, I went right back to the life. It took me another 12 years and another stint in prison, to get it right, you got plenty going for you life starts now.

And he was right, we give this death sentence for people turning 40, as the average male life expectancy is 80 years in the US itā€™s like your halfway over, but for me itā€™s not over, my eldest son is graduating high school this year. My younger one is 3 years behind him, so my legal obligation to care for them is almost over, my moral one, well thatā€™s a lifetime thing,

I reflect on previous decades, of my life. My angsty teenager years. I was a young know it all and had no idea if I was even gonna graduate high school I did but barely. My 20s j was really pushing for a im gonna be a rockstar, but chasing highs getting drunk and perusing for my next female conquest got in the way. Then moving on to becoming a parent, getting canned from multiple gigs for just being a partier that couldnā€™t play cause I was drinking all day. I all but gave up

In my 30s I finished my degree, got full custody of my children, had a few hiccups but managed to start playing again, mostly for the free booze and feeling of freedom, I felt I matured and I did but not enough, after almost giving up on music again cause I was like well Iā€™m too old for this shit, I read an article about plenty of artists who got their major label break in their 30s and 40s, gave me hope granite the idea of becoming the next teen heartthrob is kinda out leave that to the Biebs or whoever comes along. But it was never my goal, my goal was always to do studio work, touring support. Plenty of consistent work and donā€™t have to worry about churning out a top 10 single every other week so you can eat. But the best thing I did in that decade was I got sober. I was 37 when I did that.

So now I start the new decade, with the ability to build from previous decades and become bigger badder and better than before. I can still party like a rockstar (sober of course) and f*ck like a porn star. (Just one lady tho)

And I wonā€™t chase you off my lawn either
