Can therapy help reduce my strong urges and cravings?

Welcome to the community
You are taking the first step which is admitting that you need help and need to quit.

Sobriety is so much more than just abstinence. It is about getting to know yourself without the grips of addiction. About healing the part of you that reaches out for the addictive behavior. About changing up your lifestyle and routines to help suit your sober lifestyle. I definitely think that therapy would be beneficial.

Here is a link to a thread that may be helpful to you -

Seek meetings in some form of recovery. Possibly look into a sponsor at the meeting so that you have in real life support. Find ways to keep yourself busy and distracted when the urges hit. I found that this forum is great for that as I can reach out and connect with others dealing with similar struggles and also engage in the just for fun threads when I need to just be distracted.
