That sounds really nice. I enjoy the meditation aspect of my yoga practice very much. I also do guided meditations at night. It is wonderful that you have a local Buddhist center to engage with. And congrats on digging deep and going, I know how hard it can be to put yourself out there. :heart:

There is some fantastic looking numbers popping up in here, it’s really inspiring to see. Checking in on end of day 172 the 180 /6 month mark is so close…we’re charging on with this my sober twins @ThajokerNL and @Jane.c and @SobahCobra79. Good night all x thanks for being here :pray:t2::two_hearts:

Thanks :grin:. Its been a while since I’ve done anything like that and it felt really good. I am fortunate to have the centre by me, its a five minute walk from my house so perfect. I really want to make the most of it. Id like to try yoga aswell at some point but one step at a time.

I know, me too :hugs::hugs:

@CapriciousCapricorn@ Yes, the cycle has a major effect, pms time I get very negative, like I am terrible at my job, everyone hates me, etc, and often drink, and at the end of my period get all ‘lets party’ and want to drink. Actually the anti-depressants I am on now as a side-effect produce a chemical produced during breast-feeding, and I am sure that is a big reason I am doing so well this time.

Thank you Conor! The numbers thing just makes me happy. Definitely would have missed those two though, if you hadn’t prompted me :+1::sweat_smile::kissing_heart:

Always great to do something new. People often talk about meditation on here. I have gone so far as to print a beginner’s guide. Maybe will try next week.

That is great it is so close…and you get a little walk in as well.

Why not? :sob::sob::sob::sob:

:sweat_smile::rofl::rofl::rofl:

Congrats by the way! :+1::kissing_heart:

There is a man who often practices next to me in yin class and yoga nidra as well, he often falls asleep and snores lightly. I envy anyone’s ability to fall asleep so effortlessly. :heart:

Absolutely. It was the various discussions here that led me to try it really. I tried a few apps and got nothing from it, i think i need more personal contact/guidance to get something out of it. Time will tell but im going to put the effort in. A beginners guide sounds like a great place to start, hope you see some positive results with it :+1:

So today is my ‘date’ to Costco😂. And have to go get new mobile phone and contract😭. If that doesn’t drive me to drink, then I may have cracked this sobriety thing.

It’s nice to be able to practice at home. When you get to a studio it can be intimidating, but also fulfilling practicing with others…nice energy.
