Day 72 :slight_smile: @GVLNative understand the slow walk to 90, I do find it harder each side of a milestone though, as the next goal is even more distant, so got to work with that. So proud we got this far

Doing ok, busy, nearly finished my “sober” scarf (just in time for spring) will post a picture once I finished. My first attempt remember :slight_smile: Dealing with normal irritations (my son! novelty of his return now worn off :rofl: how to young people sleep so late? Eat all the food etc etc) But at least being sober I can talk to him constructively without nasty alcohol shouting and erupting like a volcano

@Butterflymoonwoman good to hear you doing ok, I am the same regarding needing gym as part of my recovery, have been doing YouTube workouts, just wish my front room was bigger. Keep strong
@Dolse71 we know you can do this :muscle:
@Girlinterrupted good to see you back, hope things get easier
@Clarity keep at it, I had numerous relapses before something clicked (may have them again) but my last one was similar to your experience, no comforting buzz just alienation.
@Beardy_McTallman wow already on 18 days! well done
@Mtrav0040 smashing 90 days :slight_smile:
@hazy good you back counting, no never lose those days, keep strong
@mno love that post

Congrats on everyone’s nos was tagging but then realised I was past 10, have a strong day and best wishes, keep safe :pray:

Hey Chris, you’re definitely a go getter and I admire that about you. I need to be a little bit more that way. But there is nothing wrong with taking your foot off the gas a little, just don’t come to a complete stop.

There are many different ways to keep working on your sobriety that don’t involve all of the time and effort that meetings and networking groups can consume. Take some time to just let your self breath little, be with your family, try to relax a little. But just remember that being sober is a huge reason why you are able to do that.

You’ve worked hard on your sobriety, be proud of that. Sure you’ve stumbled a little a long the way, but most of us have. Give your self the credit you deserve for where you are at.

Nothing wrong with taking some time to recenter and refocus. Just always remember the fact that alcohol is not an option. If you feel yourself slipping then that’s where this site can be such a huge benefit. It’s always here.

I feel your pain and frustration and I’m always pulling for you to come out on top. Take care of yourself a do what’s right for you.

Wanted to jump in on the chat about perfectionism with @Beardy_McTallman @Fargesia_murielae @Girlinterrupted @CapriciousCapricorn @Hidden and how it is great to have the reminder that there is no one right way (in sobriety or life). None of us are perfect and none of us have to be. We are here and that is enough :sparkles:

I agree with others. Nothing wrong with slowing down so long as you don’t stop. You’ve helped me a lot since I joined this community. Do what you can with the energy you have, and we’re here to help.

Day 16. Finally calming down a little after a few days ago. Work stuff is settling into a new normal. I don’t really like it, but at least it’s not up in the air as much (I hope!)

Had to get weighed at the doctor’s today (broken ankle check up). I have lost a LOT of weight since I stopped drinking. Holy smokes. Might explain why my husband has started getting frisky again, too. :grinning:

Right on! Good for you. Wish I could say the same…I’ve tried keeping a food journal and it just makes me feel bad when I eat things I shouldn’t! But I’m keeping at it and tracking mood and sleep, too. And thanks for the kudos!

So end of day 8. Im okay :heart: just took another selfie today (damn i hate it :joy::joy:), but actually already a difference, so thats crazy i think, when taking them without filters its pretty clear to see the change in my skin, so it might not be enjoyfull to take them, but it gives me what i hoped for shown progress. And actually sharing it is damn scary :sweat_smile::sweat_smile:. Lol.

Oh but back to the checkin update. I have been doing selfcare for the last two days and that has taken my mind away from alot of stuff and actually been able to enjoy those moments with pedicure and deeprinse haircare and hairmask. So everyone remember yourself!! It gives some happiness even if its just for five minutes :heart:

So anxeity lvl has gone down a bit (though raised when posting the selfies :joy::joy::joy::joy: lol) and i think its all promising for a good day tomorrow :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: lots of lots to all of you - i care deeply for you guys and you have given me so much!!
