Years ago I had the Total Gym; the one Chuck Norris sells on the infomercials. It’s about as close to a reformer as you can get. Maybe check into that, it may be alot less expensive.

70 days off booze and blow today
I celebrated by finally cleaning all the bags full of empty bottles out of my closet. I’m not sure why I hoard them. I think it’s because I live with people that don’t drink and I was always embarrassed to throw them away. Especially when I amassed more and more. But they’re finally in the trash and it feels good.
I get my SCRAM device removed on the first and I’m headed to inpatient on the second. I’m somewhat nervous to have more freedoms after I’m out of treatment, but I’m confident. There’s always that nag in the back of my addict brain that suggests that I COULD potentially drink if I wanted to, but today I do not want to.
Wish me luck :black_heart:

Another evening where I don’t feel so good. Apparently I’m getting worried mostly during evenings, guess that’s so for most people.

Anticimex didn’t show up today either so the ants are still a problem, and when I cleaned upstairs I discovered three big black bugs and had another small panic attack. I hate bugs, wouldn’t call it a phobia but not far from one. My husband is almost sure that’s some kind of tree eating bug, and we’re calling Anticimex again tomorrow.

The pool was way much smaller than I thought, but the kids where happy. But now the weather have changed and instead of a beautiful day tomorrow we’ll have a thunderstorm in the afternoon.

Hubby’s paycheck didn’t come, because his boss had made some kind off mistakes so it’s supposed to come tomorrow. Therefore our roomate borrowed our last money so he could travel home in a decent time.

And there’s pollen, a heck of a lot. The cashier at the pharmacy today greeted me with “Hi, so you are here again?” :joy:
It kinda feels like our house and the universe conspires against me. And the thought of selling the house and move into an apartment in a huge city where bugs can’t get me is even more pleasant today than it was yesterday.

I know it doesn’t conspire and I know that a big city probably have problems of it’s own. But if this house is going to continue to give me problems I’ll freak out for real.

Normally I would have been drunk by now, It’s Friday, and have been a hot kinda crappy day, with problems I can’t solve instantly. But I’m not drinking, I’m going to have some. Coca-Cola and pizza with the boys.

Happy Friday!

Day 0… I made $15k in the stock market! But am drinking for the 2nd day because I would have made $65k if I had stuck to my original plan I had been perfecting for months. I got greedy and scared and sold for pennies. Ahh the human condition. Never satisfied. Its really hard not to play on your emotions when you’re in the heat of it. Really hard to stay sober too. Its really stressful. Idk. I might take a break from here for a while. Its just not working for me like it used to. I think because I have failed so many times. I like the idea of July 1st… the last 6 months of the year to start over. It was my New Years Resolution to get sober and I was doing SO good!! I really picked the worst year ever…

Hi Mrs.O; I just did a quick search for getting rid of ants naturally;

    1. Combine 1 part baking soda with 1 part powdered sugar. I used a 3/4 tablespoon of each, and mixed it together directly in the jar lid. …
  1. Place the mixture in strategic locations and wait for the baking soda to do its thing.

  2. Here’s how to get rid of ants at home:

  3. Chalk. One of the home remedies to get rid of ants is to use chalk. …

  4. Lemons. Squeeze a lemon or place lemon peels in places from where the ants enter. …

  5. Oranges. Oranges are same as lemons; they keep the ants away from visiting your house. …

  6. Pepper. …

  7. Salt. …

  8. White Vinegar . …

  9. Cinnamon. …

  10. Peppermint.

  11. Mix one part water and one part apple cider vinegar in a spray bottle. Spray along the ant trails where you typically see the ants march in lines. Do this after you notice ants come into your home in large numbers. … This works well to kill a large number of ants at one time.

Today was a fine day. I made a test at school, got a C/6.2 on it, so I’m happy about that.
The fact that I was the only one giving a shit about social distancing was annoying though.
I’ve been on here a lot giving lots of feedback, doing so always makes me happy. and I’m fucking proud of my nailbiting.

Thank you, I’ve tried them all, it doesn’t help unfortunately. That’s why we’re calling Anticimex. The cinnamon actually worked really well to begin with, but I guess they’ve got used to it. I still use it, and knock on wood they haven’t been inside the house this time but close enough to make me worried. Thank you so much for search on the topic for me :purple_heart:

Secure Continual Remote Alcohol Monitoring or something along those lines. It’s an ankle monitor that buzzes every half an hour and checks my sweat for alcohol.

 I’m so glad. I never thought I could get through a week either but here we are! Counting the little milestones helps me. I like having something to look forward to. Here’s to 90 :black_heart:

Hi
Sorry to read you are struggling, in regards to sobriety.

$65k would be great…but you’re still $15k richer than before, no? I’d say its a win regardless.

In regards to July 1 – why not today? First of the month has a nice ring to it, sure, but doesn’t that just give yourself a pass to go wild the next 4 days? Just a thought.

I also think you should stick around here, but up to you. We all need a break sometimes.

Take care of yourself

My friend said she was going to rehab “after this last time”. Unfortunately, she died that day. Don’t give up on yourself.
