Maybe so, but choosing what’s right for you and cutting off contact with someone and a relationship that’s not healthy for you is wayyy more powerful.

Checking into this thread today reminds me of crowding around the Lemonade Stand with my pals counting up our profits at the end of the day… …I think our TS team might have had our best day yet! So many milestones I lost track of 'em, but we have everything from the first hard days out of the gates (go you!) to 4 digits, and everything in between.
Day 75 for me. This sobriety sometimes feels like the old board game “snakes and ladders”. One week of “oh yeah, I’ve got this” followed by a weekend of deep breaths and taking it moment by moment (long weekend) to today, when it all seems manageable again. I’ll take that when it comes! Probably helps that I had time in my forest to check on the fall colours…

Day 287 …
Its been a while since my last post.
Im here mainly to hear about addiction and cope with difficulties.
Its so easy to lose sanity and fall back into old habits.
I discovered another addiction recently, its called my phone…
I shut down al my soicial media accounts for almost 2 years now, and this forum its the only one left on my phone.
I was seeking growth & progress , show im on the right track, and do a lot of healthy shit …keep up with relations…make a living
Its basicly comes down to this…pls see how good i am today, pls notice me, pls dont reject my progress…
My mental state was not individual, it depends on how u think about me…
I posted selfies, workout vids , smiling to a camera . I needed attention …that dopamine shot…
My instagram account …i need at least 250 likes …like i set a bar for happiness…but hey, see me now im clean and sober…
I never did it for myself, i never did enjoy sobriety without no one notice…
So how sober am i ? How can u wake up from the matrix if u dont know youre in?
If im not on social media…do i miss out?
If i go to the beach…ride my bike, set another record for sqauds…do i really need anyone to commend on that?
Ask yourself…is it 100 % u …u are doing it for?
How many selfies we take before we got the right one to post?
How much effort we put in…for someone else…
How happy am i …without no one notice…
How many likes i get from this post? …how many really read this?

Day 93. Can’t believe how long I’ve been sober for. It’s mad really, turning down drink and drugs has become the norm. Avoided going to a party this weekend where a load of friends would have been getting wasted. I wasn’t really interested in going. I hope to feel interested again one day, go and be sober. Hope you all are well.

Sunday, day 20. Was fairly windy last night, woke up a few times, I like listening to it. Been having some crazy dreams, some good, some I’m not so sure but I can never really remember them 
Another quiet day, will head back to the apa for the few days I have to be in the office and then pack home to the folks to work from home. Will get to a mee later too

Another perfect Saturday night spent baking peanut butter apple bread. English Pub Cottage Pie for dinner. Lots of sparkling water and unwinding with a Tarantino movie. Inglorious Basterds. And talk to my old childhood friend from MA.
