Hay man. Do you draw? Play an instrument? Write? Isolation is awful sometimes and on top ya proberbly (in some way even though minor) worried about the op as well maybe?

Just try anything to keep your mind active, something that will give you a tangerble outcome. Reading is good but after youve read try have something else planned.

Good luck man! Stay strong!! You writing your story has helped me to write this and help me aswell!!

Keep posting!!

Day 233~ Morning everyone :sunny: I don’t usually do my daily check in until night but thought I would switch it up. Not sure if it was the full moon or what but what is going on here? Noticing a lot of people have left TS or are taking breaks. I hope you all are ok. :pray:t3: You all are such an important part of this community and I’m sad to not see you around. There are several of you. Anyways just thought I would throw it there… and express my gratitude and love as you have all done for me.

Starting this Saturday with some showings of an apartment we have for rent and maybe hit the mall after. I need some new digs for the fall. The boat is coming outta the water today :sob: I’m sad that’s my happy place out there on the water… until next year.

Take care all and remember you are special YOU matter. We are all in the fight of our lives but we are doing it together :muscle:t3: No one is ever alone. Much love and peace and have a safe sober Saturday.

Thanks. I was able to spend some time editing some old photo’s which was a good distraction. Just felt a bit overwhelmed for a couple of hours but stayed strong and feeling ok now. Thanks for the encouragement.

Nice to hear all that, Chris! 40s are the best!

Nearly day 54
Having some times when I feel nice and serene, like today when putting the futons out to dry while husband hoovered, it made me feel like we are pulling in the same direction, and it hasn’t always felt like that. Makes it all the more insane ideas of drinking could possibly pop into my head, there were none today, but the last week, definitely once or twice. So crazy and dangerous.

Good morninggggg!! Day 36! Today at my meeting someone picks up 43 years clean, and someone else picks up 10 years clean! It works if you work it! Today I’m grateful to be able to be grateful🙏 I hope y’all all have an amazing day! Happy Clean Saturday.

Happy weekend all, I’m checking in after a hard work week. I am very thankful for my sobriety because that made it much easier to get through. No hangovers, less anxiety, no missed days of work compounding the workload, etc…

I really enjoyed watching the documentary Drinkers Like Me by Adrian Chiles that was posted a few days ago on another thread. I was able to finish that the other day and then that led me to some other interesting ones on YouTube. I’m grateful for the recommendations everyone posts on TS for various sobriety related books/movies/media.

I was told to read The Naked Mind but after reading a lot of opinions here in older threads, I have mixed feelings about buying the book. I may just get the audiobook so I can listen to it in during my commute since I am trying to find more productive uses of my commute rather than just listening to music.

Anyway, I hope everyone has a great and sober weekend. I know this is the hardest part of the week for many of us. Cheers everyone!

Day 112 clean and sober today. Had a bit of a meltdown last night and was able to get it out here in this forum. They say we’re only as sick as our secrets and I’m so grateful to have a place where I can share anything that I’m going through and get love and support. Thank you to @Dazercat, @M-be-free49, @NDFive and @anon79808082 for being there for me last night it means more then you know. Have a great day everyone, love you guys!!!

@Dazercat @anon79808082 and @M-be-free49 have helped me out on more than one occasion, too. Good for you for working through whatever it was that was aggravating. At 112 days, you’ve got a lot to be proud of. And while I know it gets “easier,” your post reminds me that it isn’t ALWAYS easy and to come here when it gets hard. Thank you!
