Made it 6 months and now beyond!
Feels good to look in the mirror and be sober. Im in Florida now. Ive been offered drinks quite a few times and declined. Gladly.
Yesterday my daughter went too far in the deep water and started to drown. Uncle jumped in and got her. I was watching her like a hawk too…but he was faster. He is sober too… two sober people on top of it. Perks of sobriety. My daughter gives me a heart attack at least once a day.
I have a lot of catching up to do on this thread! Happy Sober Sunday!!

Ok - in honour of your 6 months I’m gonna stop doing household chores! Or maybe I’ll just crank the tunes and get back at it.

Yes, thank you! I was just thinking how different yesterday could have been had we all been drinking. Hopefully I wouldn’t have been dumb enough to let her go in the pool without her water wings. But accidents happen. Glad to be 100% present for my daughter!

day 55… Woke up at 5.30am. Little broken sleep as it was over 28 degrees all night. I think a got 4 or 5 hours sleep maybe. It will be 39 degrees again today. My apartment is a corner apartment and the cement walls hold the heat so I’m really regretting not buying an actual air con… My next home will definetly have air condition. This is too uncomfortable. I adore summer but I can’t go out in this heat, I get sick in tummy and feel nausea and light headed… Its 7.19am now, I will go for a ride across to the beach for a morning swim before the sun really comes out and then I will retreat indoors till this heat wave passes…happy Monday
