I had dinner with my bestie last night after calling her despite my fears for rejection. I’m good. Have as good a day as you all can friends. Clean and sober. Love from Amsterdam and Westkapelle beach two years ago.

@AmandaU Lots of support here. Congratulations on your sobriety. I like what’s written on your app page, the quote about it not being easy but being worth it.

Doing good, so pleased it’s Friday totally shattered this week looking forward to a bit of relaxing… I have been doing two jobs for the last 3 months The homeless one which I love is poorly paid and only meant to be temporary last August, so to enable me to stay I took an early morn cleaning job, 6.30 am -8.30 then on to Homeless work, with both jobsI can pay bills, and put away money for son at uni next year. But it’s tiring I know i can’t do for much longer… don’t want to go back to IT project work but have made a decision to look for a Project Manager role in NHS, Public sector, adult social care, there is lots of Homeless Initiatives type jobs out there, so will start applying now… :+1: feels so good I have clear direction where I want to head. Its taken a while to get here… focused mind is a new thing for me and I am happy about that.

Hi all. Great to be here and reading all your positive milestones and support for each other. Checking in here for day 2 (first thing in the morning is the easy part?) I suppose it’d be better to check in during the witching hours? Or is it fine to check in several times a day if needed? Just learning the ropes I guess…

Day 276

TFIF! Gonna make a nice pumpkin soup for dinner, it is one of my son’ s favourites so look forward to his reaction. How nice to be planning evening menu on the train home, not chugging alcohol and then trying to cook drunk. How many times did I make too watery rice, or burnt something? Now I fail sober! (Pumpkin soup is usually OK, fingers crossed)

@zzz sometimes you gotta take a running jump at it, and maybe you falter a bit and miss a few times (or many times) but stay in the game and you will get there (I hope the same for me, I regularly relapse but the people on here seem to be doing it, so we can too)!

@Mephistopheles wow that’s gorgeous! I’m off on holiday today and plan to do some wild swimming.

Still hanging on in there- coming up on 3 weeks (sunday) but it makes me feel a bit sorry of itchy so I’m not going to think about it
Occurred to me like being sober/ not sober is like being either one side of a glass door. As soon as you are a bit sober you look in at the drunk you and think ? Wtf? Look at that poor animal in there. How did they get there? But as soon as you have one drink you are back in that place feeljng like you are in hell and looking through the sober you wondering- wtf? How did that strong person get there???
Staying the right side of the door this time

Greetings @Best_Me… Yeah I find that when I reach out early in the morning, I hold my self accountable and more committed to have a sober day. But obviously, you need to do what works for you and try out different ways in order to keep @ your sobriety. All the best :hugs:
