Checking in on 262 days abstinence from Alcohol and 65 days ganja free… Also, the cigarettes is a habit that I’m looking into next, as to be nicotine free but I’m not mentally ready. Need to read more threads about flicking cigarettes for good on TS.
Congrats on your 200 days Drew. Good luck in Denver. I know that airport well. The Burgers at Elways are the best. You can get some good exercise walking in. I hope the weather cooperates for you.
Safe travels.
Congrats on 200 days!
Congratulations on your 500 days Sonny.

*Day 1197
Got my Covid booster vaccin yesterday evening. It was easy peasy and well organized. Costed me 10 minutes in and out. Hope it helps to prevent our country for a high wave of Omikron hospitalizations.
Today? Off from work and planned house chores and a hike with friends and a lunch at home.
Again started to skip the sugar out of my life but I found that very hard to do. That inner voice is telling me: you skipped the alcohol already, why skip all the fun in life?
Day 505
Surprise drop in my son’s friend, so day of bicycle rides, Monopoly, etc. Nice that I can be on the sidelines and they entertain themselves. And so happy to be ok with surprise drop ins these days.
Happy Birthday @Its_me_Stella and congratulations on 2 years clean to a very special lady. What an amazing double whammy. This place would not be the same without you, thank you for your support.
Wow what a photo love your walks, nature is the best
Checking in. I relapsed yesterday on nicotine after 167 days. I know that it was a one-time occasion, but still. Can’t wait to get home today.

Prayers and well wishes to all
Day 1151. Heading back home and really looking forward to the cats.
I just thought to myself how glad I am that in my mind the dark months are over now. Days are getting longer and we are heading for spring in some months all a matter of perspective.
I am happy that I did the first Christmas sober at home after over 3 years. I miss my home town to some degree that it hurts. No matter how bad I am I feel home there walking around and being okay.
I just see that home is misleading here as I use it all the time. In German my home town is Heimat and zu Hause or nach Hause can be everywhere for me. Heimat is unique for me.
@Its_me_Stella Your birthday? Your birthday! Happy happy joy joy!
@anon74766472 So is where you live now your Heimat or is the place you come from Heimat? Slightly confused here…
@Tomek Sorry for the nicotine. Hope you’ll be back at being smoke free asap friend. Safe trip home.
@SoberWalker Yes it’s hard not to literally bump into some deer there
@anon27760155 Thinking of you.
@CATMANCAM Hope you’re OK friend. Hugs.
I was in my ‘Heimat’ and am heading back to ‘nach Hause’
Day 99 checking in odaat
I also love what you wrote here. It takes a long time and a lot of strength to change that perspective. And being the victim of so much shit also seemingly justifies not being well.
We have to do the work. And it is really hard work at times.
Thank you for your words. They reinforce some thinking I’ve been doing and some words I want to share with some other people close to me.
I wish you peace today!
Good morning all
I’m up early again in this last day of vacation to check in here on life.
This is the first vacation of my life with true relaxation. I thought I was relaxing all those other times when I spent days with alcohol. This time I spent days in a beautiful place, with the man I love, the dogs I enjoy, good food, good books, and decent sleep. I did not have to navigate outings with the nursing Of a hangover. I did not say dumb things under the influence. I saved some money!
I was able to use strategies and supports I’ve learned here. A few NA beers did the trick, enjoying my clear headed mornings and calmer mind throughout the time has helped. My husband drank very little on this trip, so I feel that he is very supportive as well.
We start the trek home tomorrow and then back to work for me on Monday. 2022 has some good things in store for me.
I hope you are well and that you enjoy this day.
Oh dang, Eric! I’m sorry, that sucks! How’s wifey?
