I love cake too. I donāt usually make my own cakes unless Iām trying a new recipe. But I definitly have to watch myself when I do make them bcuz I tend to eat cake for breakfast, lunch, n supper lol I donāt even know if I can moderate my sugar consumption. Iāve noticed that to be an unhealthy habit since getting clean
Day 282 clean from self harm.
Iām ok I guess. I still havenāt learned how to have good days, but I donāt have an urge to relapse today. Mostly worked on coding projects today. I ate a full meal, which I havenāt done in a while. I also had only water today, and quite a lot too

Day 5
Overall a decent day. Cant complain really. Had BLTs for supper with hubby. Got my cakes baked and chilling. Just have to make buttercream and assemble tmrw. Been reading a workout book from the library. Very helpful info. It is inspiring me to get going on my health. I am honestly concerned about it. My sugar and carb intake is insane idk if I need to jump on the band wagon for cutting sugar like some others on here but itās bad. My weight isnāt out of control but itās not great either. Obviously my clean time is priority right now but I can make some healthy changes. Cravings and diet are linked for me. Anywayā¦ I did walk past the candy and chocolate isle today at the store lol didnāt stop even tho I wanted toā¦ the sour keys were calling my name I work this weekend and then Monday I will begin my new workout routine. Will do my best to choose more complex carbs and cut back on sugar. Drunk more water instead of wasting calories on juices and pop. Little changes hope everyone is doing well today! Hugs

Iām still counting my 2 years 3 weeks and 5 or 6 day sober AF. And thatās the same number of days Iāve done a gratitude list right here on the gratitude thread. A lot of you know gratitude is my strongest tool.
Gratitude. Itās not a big word, but when it comes to overcoming addiction it often carries the weight of recovery on its shoulders. Think about the last time you felt truly grateful. Did it make you feel happy? Did it make you want to make others feel happy? How long has it been since you felt a deep sense of gratitude? It is often a lack of gratitude or general discontentment with the state of your life ā or your current circumstances ā that paves the way for addiction.
Failing to develop gratitude during recovery will almost certainly place you on a path to relapse into addiction.
Iām grateful I didnāt drink today.
And Iām grateful Iām sure as hell not drinking tomorrow.
And Iām grateful for that as Iām super grateful for you.
Spent some money on myself today.

- Coffee. New workweek. Didnāt feel very enthusiastic as my alarm went of just now. The coffee is good though. And Iām sober and clean on a early Saturday morning and that has been different in the past. Work is what it is and if I canāt take it no more I better work on something else to do.
So here we all go. Have as good weekend as you all can friends. Make it clean and sober or nothing will come of it. Love from Amsterdam where at least I saw the sun for one day yesterday.
