Checking in daily to maintain focus #42

Hi everyone, I’m back… though I used to go by “Fokusnik”… I couldn’t for the life of me remember my old password, so I thought that it would just be easier to create a new account.
Anyway… coming up on day 4… not brilliant, but I read my Allen Carr book again this weekend, and I’m back.

Busy day so far. Workout in the morning, prayer and connecting to my HP, and then did some tidying up. Have a work related zoom mtg for 3 hours in the afternoon. Other than that nothing else going on! Just focusing on recovery and my health right now
Hope everyone has an addiction free day!

…1517. Ms. Monkey and I joined a gym. The home work outside we try just dont work, as there is always something to do. We came to the conclusion that a membership and a place away from home will be the morivation we need. We both have been in really great shape before…time to get back to it.

Fat old man selfies on the way…lmao

I like that name, coeur de lion…
Isn’t there a town near the Canadian border out west called that ?
No, it was Coeur d’Alène, that’s right, now I remember…

Welcome back!

This studying is taking up pretty much all my time at the moment but I need to get it done before the final date… Just seems every module has mini modules that you have to then get through and then take a test that you have to get over 80%… You can’t even go back and check or even use another device it sends you straight to the test!!! I’m not a visual or listening learner. I have to write it all down it’s only then I remember the key facts or what regulations and legislations are in place… I know I’ll be so happy when I’ve completed it all, just feeling the effects of giving up right now!!

Took the dawg for a walk, decided my challenge is to find new places to go.

As far as sobriety I feel content that I’ve made the right call on suspending work in Birmingham at present and Gone back to the team meetings where they can easily just get hold of me for any issues!

Another day done well still a few more hours to cram in some studying…

Hey guys. Checking in day 16.
My laptop broke down today, so I must use internet in my phone which is usually blocked. When internet is unlocked in my phone, usually my mind goes crazy and wants to PMO. But now things are changing. I feel that my self control has gotten stronger. I am able to tell NO to the using thoughts.

I will be on my phone for some while now, so I will be very careful during these time to avoid relapses. But I am confident I will not relapse and make it through until my laptop is repaired.

Have a great guys. Peace.

Second check in of the day. The field trip was a blast but man alive you couldn’t pay me enough to be an elementary school teacher or bus driver. You all are saints. I definitely left with a headache. Nothing a good workout didn’t fix though.

The next job finally called me back with a viable solution for my start date. They have asked me to start 2 months early and are going to allow me to take my pre-planned international vacation 3 weeks after onboarding without docking my pay for the lost 2 weeks abroad. That’s a huge win in my book. Excited to start the new role next month.

Day 49
A better day. Yesterday was all around not my day mood-wise.
Husband and I had a long, LONG talk last night about a lot of things going on plus our relationship, etc. and things are on the way to getting resolved. I am having a better day today and trying hard to be receptive of others’ input as far as not taking on the world when I’m not feeling well in the noggin.
I’m thinking tomorrow’s the return to the morning routine. I’ve had time and resolved some issues. I feel ready and don’t particularly care if I’m returning on a Friday because I don’t really have a job so it doesn’t matter lol.
I just need to continue being kind to myself and building semblance of the things that help me the most

School is hard. I honestly dont think I could do it again. I applaud u for pushing thru and doing it all sober! That’s wonderful! What are you taking? I was also the type of learner in college where I had to write everything down. That and speak it out loud. Ugh… its exhausting lol I feel u on that. Ur doing amazing tho!
