Day 4.

Happy Saturday. Up early. Attended 7am meeting online. This has become a regular maintenance tool. Awaiting my entry into treatment. Anxious yet completely ready to be raw and do the work. How…honesty, open and willing. This program is based on trauma informed format so ready to deal and heal. Life on life’s terms. Grateful for my sponsor, this community and some women I’ve met in the rooms of NA and AA. Reaching out and sharing when I need to and especially when I don’t feel like it.

Found out my 18 year old daughter who just started college was sexually active. Very angry mmyet after talking toy sponsor I’m happy she spoke to me about it and was safe. Something I never did not felt I had as a young teen. I also.told her this would be stopping now. Her focus is on college…and threatened the boy…was this wrong🤔 probably but OFW… my daughter has some cognitive abilities and I feel unwell about this situation. F***! Praying for strength and guidance.

Off too the clinic…then relaxing day after homework support with the children.

Been binging sweets and Greys Anatomy…better than using. Will get in a walk and some yoga later. Have an amazing weekend friends.:pray:t5::smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Thanks friend  ya i do know what triggered it. It being my hubbys payday and also his phone going off bcuz his one coworker was asking him if he knew where to get drugs. Even tho everyone knows that he doesnt do anything anymore, they still think he has phone numbers to connections. It was just a trigger i guess. He didnt even entertain the text thankfully. We ended up just having a relaxing night

Oh dear friend - please do not ever apologize for thinking you come off negatively. I am so sorry to hear that you are still struggling. I see all that you are doing to lift yourself up and stay positive.
I want to give you a huge hug and let you know it will be ok - it will get better. :people_hugging:
It is Saturday - are you able to reach out to your therapist today for a impromptu session? I am here and willing to listen if you need someone to talk to - you can message me if that would work for you.

Don’t get sucked into the lack of appetite cause that leads to low energy and is breeding ground for depression. Grateful that you are managing some foods today.
Much love Delia! Sending you positivity and calmness

HOT DAMN that would frustrate me to no end. I’m sorry that these folks can’t respect boundaries and leave your hubby alone. Like he needs that shit. Sorry that both of you dealt with that and grateful for the way you both handled it! Hope your work goes smoothly today and you are starting to feel 100% better.

Checking in on Saturday morning
its a lovely day and i am about to have my 5th cup of coffee (damn - i really needed the caffeine today - it’s going through me like water). Just got my delivery of gluten free breads and am about to try the pumpkinickel. Will see - they are tiny pieces and thin. Cute packaging and super healthy ingredients. Planning game night tonight with friends so that will be fun. Hope everyone has a wonderful addiction free Saturday - sending you all so much love

Day 580
Morning was a bit rough getting to work. I caught all the right trains and buses but as im getting on my final bus and its taking off i couldnt find my phone!! So i jump off the bus 2 stops away and run back. Now im obviously going to be late for work :unamused: Only to realize that my phone was in my lunch bag this whole time. Lesson learned - always put my phone in the same spot lol

I got to work and work is going well so far. Should be a good day!!! Hope everyone has an amazing day as well :butterfly:

No alcohol: 27 days
No cigarettes: 25 days

I am determined not to fail this time. For me, this has been a deep journey of introspection and really crying out to God for help. I am learning so much about me and how so much of life’s bull crap was my own fault, but not all of it…like childhood traumas and whatnot.

This time, in addition to stopping alchohol I’ve done these things:

-Sold my car
-paid down my credit cards
-started taking the bus everywhere
-praying every night on my knees
-quit nic
-daily meditation
-daily grounding (bare feet to earth) 30 mins daily
-taking myself out on dates

This has been working so far. I feel super good overall, even my energy and outlook on life has switched from feeling like death was near, to enjoying the beauty of the moment. I also feel beautiful inside and can appreciate life again.
