Survived Christmas Eve dinner without bingeing!
Not too many plans for today. Send my daughter off on her trip. Play with my presents 
. Depending on the storm some running. Yoga.

23 days in the bank.
Whoops skipped a day and had 23 for yesterday… today xmas day was 23.
Low key family morning. Kids opened presents then we went for a bush walk.
Swim at the beach then a family dinner.
Had one bad craving that hit me just before dinner guests arrived as i started to cook some stuff for dinner… again old habits.

Had a descent sleep, bit surprised about that. Eventually send them my wishes, without being sarcastic 
. Today I’ll be doing my voluntary work at the elderly home. Looking forward to that. My son will be here tomorrow, also looking forward to that. Didn’t make the walk since it was poring rain here, so pictures will come later.

A good last few days of the year to all of you. I’m fine, two days off now. Sharing a meal with my sis, her two sons and their gf’s tonight. And tomorrow an old friend of mine made a last minute effort to have some folks together for a Tweede Kerstdag dinner (as we celebrate a second day of Christmas here). So I’m ‘under the roof tiles’ both days as the Dutch saying goes.
Have as good a Christmas as you all can friends. Be absolutely sure to make it sober and clean. Nothing ever has been made better by drinking or drugging. Never again. Love.
@Rob11 Seems to me an excellent way to celebrate Christmas friend. Enjoy.

Merry Christmas!
What with living in a non-Christian country, today I went to work 
. It was my longest day, and difficult to rearrange classes for some reasons at that workplace so I just bit the bullet and went. My husband took the day off, and kids are off from school anyway, so I felt resentful at being at work while everyone else was off.
But got back and he and my daughter had made a nice dinner: pasta and grilled chicken and potato fries (imagined and managed by the daughter, safety checked by husband) which was lovely, and then watched Home Alone.
Got work again tomorrow, but only the morning, so will go to a BBQ restaurant for ‘Christmas dinner’. It’s all been pretty adhoc and not what I think of when I think of ‘Christmas’. But we are together and making memories, and that is what is most important.

DAY 1190 drink and drugs, merry Christmas to you all and remember today is just another day as far as your sobriety is concerned.
Can’t wait for the new year when the community fills up with a whole new bunch of hopefuls.
Most will fail so well done to those of us who have managed to hold on to our sobriety for some time. It’s very special so never take it for granted. Love and thanks to all that have kept me sober for another year.

Day 799 for a few more hrs
Merry Christmas, everyone!
Kids had a blast last night opening their gifts. It’s 4 am here. I had to wake up and put Santa’s presents under the Christmas tree. I was on a mission. I was trying not to wake up my eldest. I used to sneak booze in here, and now I’m sneaking in presents.LOL. Aint that something. It was fun. Gonna go back to get bed. When I wake up, I’ll be 800 days sober.
