And a rational fear it is. My biggest concern would be bed bugs, bc that was the worst year of my life :tired_face: Even if he says he doesn’t have them, it’s possible not to know. I highly suggest looking into preventative measures, bc bombs don’t always kill them. Our exterminator wasn’t even successful! But now I know WAY more about them than the average person should, if you’re interested :hugs: Take care, girl :heart:

Peroxide based cleaner directly on active areas kills on site and eggs. I’ve lost everything because of them in the past. Gotta love rental risks.

Extra going for a little night stroll - despite it being late and the occasional drizzle - just to have the reception to check in here before going to sleep.

I could’ve saved myself printing a bunch resumes today as practically all applications/enquiries were either online or over the phone :stuck_out_tongue: I thought farm work would still embrace the oldschool method but apparently not
 Anyways, managed to apply at a handful today and tick off a whole region.

On a personal note, something I intend to work on is my subconscious feeling of inadequacy, as it leads to draining tendencies like people pleasing and procrastinating.

Tomorrow, hoping the weather is good, I intend to meditate and work out in the morning again!

Oh ive dealt with those too back when i got one of my bonus kids out of a group home :tired_face::tired_face: i cant go through that again! But on the plus side he isnt bringing any furniture. Only pictures and paperwork. But roaches hide in papers and hes had them the entire time ive known him

Oh, ew. Cleanliness can avoid that. My apartment was completely infested with roaches when I moved in. First time I’d ever seen them before. But after thoroughly cleaning and maintaining it, they were totally gone after 2 weeks. If you’re that worried, bombs do kill those pretty good :+1:

6am check in. Coming to the end of nightshift couple hours left as we’re short staffed today so can’t leave at the nornal time i’d be relieved.
Because of this the youngest is going to miss swimming lessons, oh well still plenty on today and she’ll understand.

Hello! I’m just a day or two short of 70 on this alcohol-free streak now. My longest was a bit over 100 last year. Would be great to break that.

I also started a break from social media back a bit before Christmas - still got that going. I’ve continued to minimize my news consumption too, given that it just stresses me out being plugged into what’s going on around the world these days. Avoiding instant gratification can get hard sometimes. Sometimes I just want to pull that lever for a dopamine hit. I’m trying to just pull out a book, do some online banking, or update my to-do list lately when I get that urge.

It’s sunk in that no one is coming to save me with the housework and parenting. I am constantly ‘on’.
I am the load carrier!
