Checking in daily to maintain focus #76

@rockstar24777 Man I’m sorry to hear about the dark thoughts. They can get heavy and really wear you down. I do think it’s a wise idea to get back on your medication. Mental health and stability is the so important. Big hugs friend. You are doing great – see that 1 month milestone right around the corner for no smoking/vaping!
@ts66 It is going to take some time to find your solid ground. Being around people may be a good thing. Do know we are here for you as well. You are going through a lot right now and I’m sure things probably still don’t seem real. Glad you have your sister to talk to. Take it one moment at a time. Hope you had a restful day with the dogs :people_hugging:
@danwood85 1 week AF tomorrow! That is awesome. It is smart to start the quit at 5 pm or in the evening so that when you wake up in the morning you can say you already have a bunch of sober no vape time! It is a mental game for sure. Wish you luck with this. Join us on the Grumpy A-holes (quitting cigarettes/ nicotine products) (Part 2) thread for some extra tips and support.
@juli1 Don’t listen to those suggestions. Talk back to that voice and tell it a hard definitive NO! You no longer need that coping mechanism. You are stronger now and don’t need to go through the hell of quitting / withdrawal. Sending you strength :muscle:
@leveller Ooh that is a cute picture - - love the close up! 1400 days no nicotine tomorrow – this is amazing work! Keep kicking butt :muscle:
@blondie75 WHOOHOO so good to see you checking in and with 2 months! That is fantastic work – keep going strong :muscle:
@james83 1 week tomorrow! You always have us in your corner too. Hope you enjoy your sober holiday and keep stacking up the days!

There really is no sound reason to drink or drown ourselves in sorrow. I am sorry that you felt this way today but so very proud of you for not giving in. I also don’t know what stage any of us are meant to be in as the path to sobriety isn’t linear (it’s linked to so much growth and healing and there fore is a bit different for each of us). You are crushing it and I look forward to celebrating your triple digits with you soon!
@justkaitlin Thank you for sharing your story. Grateful that you are doing better and were well enough to get out today. Hope the meeting helped. Day 5 is amazing work – just keep the past 4 days in your memory banks so that you can go back to them when the addiction voice comes calling. :hugs:
@stacyann Hugs to you for getting back here and not letting that lapse take over. Hope you are able to find a program closer to you that can help you out. ODAAT!
@lighter YEAH 400 days! So glad to hear that your friend is doing better. Sending you calm sleep vibes – hope you are already deep in slumber land.

Checking in on Friday night - about to be Saturday morning LOL
835 days free of alcohol and weed
1250 days free of cigarettes
It has been a long day and I didn’t get to all the stuff (or even half) of what I needed to get done today. I did manage a 1.5 hr nap and that is worth way more than any task I had. My sis and her hubby came over so I spent an hour catching up with them. I am super exhausted but can’t seem to shut down or get comfortable. Hopefully will get some zzz’s after I finish with the check in.
Wishing everyone a wonderful addiction free day / evening - sending you all so much love
