Checking in daily to maintain focus #77

Day 193

When I read the posts of those who are in early sobriety (0-60days) I am immediately reminded of being there not long ago. So many times I was at that breaking point. The memory horrifies me. I know how lucky I am to have made it this far. I think I bettered my odds by taking suggestions this time. This App has been such a boost as well. Sober laughter has returned and life doesn’t SUCK. Just for today, I’m going to opt not to drink. I asked for help this morning and I’m going to a mtg tonight where a lot of drunks like me hang out. Looking forward to it :folded_hands::blush::winking_face_with_tongue: Good luck to everyone…. Stay strong, stay patient and of course vigilant :tada::blush::+1::flexed_biceps::tada:

97 days and sitting waiting for an X-ray on my thumb , today was hard as I was fully booked , I fell offf a step and fell on my hand funny first thing this morning at work. Been on painkillers all day and had junior trainees blow drying my clients for me. Second major fall this month, and alcohol FREE!!!

I asked my sponsor again about the 5k a day in May challenge and he said I should hold off for a week. He knows what’s best for me.

You got this! Keep doing what it takes! And tomorrow, you will not wake up with regrets. Because, that is a really crappy place to be after working to get a pile of days together. You got this! Enjoy your day AF free!

I totally forgot to check in this morning because I finally got it most of the way there. Definitely a solid start the rest will just build upon. :sparkles::black_heart:

Day 34
Today my mind is clear enough to accept I am an alcoholic. I will do things that alcoholics do to keep sane.
Not gonna drink for any reason, nothing will force me to drink today!!!

I think 78 days of no vaping!

Been dealing with on and off migraine due to the fluctuations in the weather, but I’m starting to feel better :flexed_biceps:

Where do you live? Why would that affect migraines? I’m sorry for that. I’m sure they’re awful. Seems genetic to me (I’m no Dr, don’t pin me to that)!

It was a rainy hot cold mess around me and the migraines let me know. Sorry you deal with them too. I wouldn’t wish them on my worst enemy :sparkles::black_heart:

Into day 4 and back sober and happy from the wedding. Was actually more relaxed than I expected and good to connect with old friends. Sure, some were drinking so I hung out with their wives who were driving them ! :joy:

Checking back in. Still day 1. Did some meditation and reading this morning. Took a nap this afternoon, I think mainly to escape the awful what have I done feeling. Thought of my plan throughout the day and prayed a lot.

Have a good night/day all.

@NewDay1990 Not everything can be, will be, or has to be fixed in one day. Slow and steady, time will heal :folded_hands:

@Chevy55 Happy Birthday :birthday_cake: :balloon: :wrapped_gift: It’s been awesome to watch your progress from the very start. I’ll miss the updates, but I know you got this :flexed_biceps: Drop by if/when you need to. We’ll be here :hugs:

Still no sun, but alot less rain. The course was packed bc no one could play for days, which made for a good lunch shift! Now that I finally sat down, I’m starting to feel the effects. Plus I didn’t feel like cooking and got pizza for dinner, knowing it would eff up my stomach. I really can’t eat red sauce anymore  I’ll survive. Gotta work a big wedding tomorrow. Luckily I’m scheduled on the early shift that gets to leave at 10pm :raising_hands: I like working them tho. Always a good time. Have a great 24 everyone!

Finally got a sleep in. 730am is what classifies as a sleep in around here.
Took the kids to a spot they can roller skate at.
Then just had a chill afternoon. The youngest spent the afternoon playing with her neighbor friend me and the eldest also did a workout together which was awesome.
Wife has gone to nightshift and im watching my league team play. Good Sunday.
Happy birthday @Chevy55 awesome to be feeling so good physically and mentally. You’re just coming into your prime
