Checking in daily to maintain focus #79

@leveller LOL tea and coffee – enjoy living dangerously :hugs: I too revisit my smoking hypnosis from time to time just to make sure that I sharpen my tools and stay smoke free. :hugs:
@bomdhil Sorry about the withdrawal symptoms. Stay connected friend – it does get easier. Go to a meeting, work on your self care. Remember the yucky times don’t last. Luckily the dentist appointment was a super quick one – just needed to pick up my mouth splint. So grateful that they got it fixed
@tragicfarinelli OMG that sucks hard! I was dealing with flat tires almost every other month for a year and that about drove me crazy. It was all the dirt roads at the time around here. Luckily those have been paved since. Can’t imagine you having to deal with this in your living complex. Sorry your landlord is not fixing the issue or dealing with the subcontractors.
@moosetracks WHOOHOO! :tada: :tada: Way to go with your 3 years! That is impressive work and a wonderful reflection of your journey.
@marit thanks friend – sleep was great. Migraine still around but that is ok as its getting less intense. Love the picture! Grateful you were able to fall in love with your horse again – what a beautiful feeling. :hugs:
@amelie Way to go with your 50 days! That is incredible work girl – keep it going strong :muscle:
@butterflymoonwoman A huge congrats on your 1300 days! Hope you were able to turn the day around. :hugs:
@jeanine Big hugs my friend. :people_hugging: You can have us in your pocket this weekend. You know from previous attempts that escaping does not work. You only feel worse and in the end still have to deal with whatever you are trying to escape from. I am very sorry to hear of your dad’s health. Sorry that you are having to revisit past trauma that may open old wounds. Do you have someone in real life like a therapist to call upon while you are visiting him? We are always around here so reach out if you need. 5 days is amazing work and you can keep stacking up the days :muscle:
@techpro92 Awesome work on day 17. It is great when we are encompassed by our addiction or having to constantly fight the urges. It is still good practice to stay connected to your recoveries (especially in the early months) as we never know when the ugly monster will rear its nasty head. Keep up the amazing work – 3 weeks is right around the corner!
@jonachav123 Way to work through the craving. Most of the time H.A.L.T. is the answer – just have to be patient enough to work through the process and not give into that nasty voice. Love this thread as it gives more insight Cravings & how to beat them, Isolation vs. Connection, H.A.L.T

First of all – congrats on your job offer. This job you were in sounded to be a bit much with its training after you had already started – like you would always be playing catch up. You are giving them 2 weeks and pursuing what it a better fit for you so that is a good thing imo.

Checking in on Friday night
989 days free of alcohol and weed
1404 days free of cigarettes
Been a very busy day. Grateful that I was able to do as much as I did but I am already paying for it.
Its past midnight here and I can’t seem to wind down enough to sleep. My jaw is super tight and head is pounding. Going to try and meditate now and see if I can breathe through this and get some zzz’s.

Wishing everyone a wonderful addiction free day / evening - sending you all so much love
