I am so sorry that the talk did not go so well with your manager. Glad you do like what you do. I am certain that so many people appreciate you and all you do for them each and every day. Good thing you are keeping your eyes open - you never know when something will pan out.
@just_laura OMG what a great movie. Glad you watched and enjoyed it. LOVE that everything is coming up Laura - enjoy your days off.
@jonachav123 Well done on getting back on track and starting your journey again! The guilt, shame and disappointment are the addictions way of keeping you underfoot. Be proud of yourself for starting the sober path and committing to showing up for yourself. It is not an easy track - Build your support system with groups / meetings and staying connected here. You also need to make a clean environment for yourself, stay away from triggers or triggering situations. This is not a life sentence. You just need to get through the detox and get your new habits / routines time to take hold. Keep yourself busy and push through the urges as they will not last. One Day At A Time!
@james83 Well done on your 3 weeks! Way to go friend. Great to see you realizing how amazing sobriety is. Lucky that you did cause for some a whole lifetime goes by without this realization. ![]()
@tauani Well done on your 3 days of sobriety. The early days can be super hard just surviving the day so do be gentle with yourself. Give yourself grace for not getting to the gym. The detox process is tiring and can take a LOT of energy. Having to show up for work is going to be hard enough so do take it easy and allow your body to rest.
The detox can vary for many. I know I spent the first few weeks sleeping and regaining energy. For some it can be less and for some longer. So many factors play into it. The main thing is to be in touch with your body and listen to its need to rest.
@twosox42 Yippee on your 1 week! Glad you got a nice time out with your daughter and friend. Love that more AF / virgin options are available when we go out
@von100 Impressive work on your 40 days! Sorry to hear about the work stress and adult level childish games. Those are awful to deal with. Sorry you feel like an outcast but in reality You my friend don’t need to fit in with people who play such games.
@wcan WOW! 1800 days is fantastic! Keep the days rolling in ![]()
@lighter You doing well Marie? Feel like I haven’t seen you in some time.
@vanessa8 Heck yeah girl! 500 days is absolutely fabulous. It is such an honor to be on this journey with you and see how well you have been doing stacking up the days. Flex those sober muscles
