Checking in daily to maintain focus #79

@Dilettante how are you doing today?
@Moriah happy birthday! Hope you have a wonderful day celebrating you today :bouquet::birthday_cake::partying_face:
@Just_Laura hope you slept well and are feeling refreshed today. Sucks that the manager is acting this way (especially out of the blue). Hope it’s just a quick phase and not her new demeanor. It’s important for a manager to get in with the work and do all the tasks they ask if others…it shows a sense of team spirit imo. Like you stepping in and doing the dishes or whatever when needed.
@Tragicfarinelli :people_hugging:. It is hard seeing a loved one decline with age. Falls in old age are so scary as they can cripple you and steadily increase that decline. Sending hugs and love :people_hugging::heart:

We all need that reminder from time to time. I don’t think we ever run out of way to help ourselves and a need to keep working on our recovery. Enjoy your perfect weather day :hugs:
@JMS19 well done with day 4. Try not to get bogged down with the what ifs and if onlys..you can work now on working your recovery and finding something else that is better suited for you. A job where you will go in sober and be your best self or going back to school like you had mentioned before. Enjoy your Sunday my friend…one moment at a time :flexed_biceps:t4:

Checking in on Sunday morning :sun_with_face:
Feeling groggy as I didn’t sleep well and this pain is a pain in my *** … It’s be a good day. Gonna get that coffee started first. Don’t have anything specific planned…just hope it’s not a complete rest day

Wishing everyone a wonderful addiction free day… sending you all so much love :heart:

Checking in 20 days. I feel better at some parts of the day but I’m still very depressed. Just wanted to check in and say hello.

20 days is impressive. Keep going strong as there is no comfort and zero answers in addition.

Glad you did check in. We are here with you. Take time to practice self care and connect with others today. :people_hugging::people_hugging::people_hugging:

Checking in on day 61 for thc and 26 days for MO. Our shift leader quit mid shift yesterday. She texted me and said that she was sick of feeling like she wasn’t working hard enough. She had asked our boss if she could step down from the position a couple of months ago and was refused so she quit. I’m wondering if I need to escalate this and talk to our district manager about this. I have a good relationship with her and feel that as the assistant manager I have a duty to my team. Definitely something for me to reflect upon during my church service and I’m probably going to the front for prayer after. It’s going to be a great day no matter the outcome..the obstacles may come but they won’t bring me down. I WILL JUST SHINE BRIGHTER!!

Checking in on a lovely sober Sunday and Day 31! Huge thank you to everyone that sent such sweet encouragement. Woke up insanely early today, so I took the quiet time to do some yoga and write a bit. Equinox approaches and so does change. Time to further shed what doesn’t serve me. Some cleaning and emotional dumping is definitely today’s focus. Fresh baked apples this evening. It will be a good day (I’m telling myself that at least.) But first, more coffee. Light & Love all :star: :black_heart:

@Moriah Happy Happy Birthday! To the first of many you celebrate to come. Weird can very well be good. Have an amazing day :balloon:

@leveller Your photos are so beautiful. They always have an underlying hope in them… Thank you for sharing. :camera: :black_heart:

@JMS19 You didn’t necessarily screw up the career, just the job wasn’t meant to get you where you need to be. Having the same or a similar job is not completely lost.

@jazzy Definitely get some r&r. Some of the best plans are no plans at all. Love ya girl!

@zendoe Just please know we are always here if you need to vent or anything. Sending restorative vibes dear.

The closer we get to God, the more we let go.

We can finally be in His care.

Checking in on day 35.

We’ve had our daughters 2nd birthday party today! it was great seeing a whole lot of family and friends together again. And I stayed sober this time!

At her first birthday party I was one of the drunkest people there… I feel ashamed.

But I pulled myself through it sober this time.

Sure we served alcohol. And some people drank a little bit. But nothing over the top.

So glad to have been there fully present for her and our guest.

Sober is the best way to live life :flexed_biceps: ODAAT.

Big congrats on your daughter’s second birthday and you celebrating it sober Jonathan! Personally, I don’t serve alcohol at my place (not that I get that many guests here but that’s another matter). People can drink alcohol when they visit, but they have to bring there own booze, and take what’s left with 'm. Keeps it simple and overzichtelijk for me.

Thank you!

Our appartment is to small to host parties  so we had it at the house of my in law’s.

They do drink alcohol(I don’t mind that they do) so no alcohol had to be brought in or was left behind at our place. And that’ a great thing!

But I get you! I wouldn’t serve alcohol at our place anymore either.

363 days AF :wilted_flower:

I am tired. Took a nap today which is not normal to me. I think this is combination of many things: too little sleep, nutrition, worries, days getting darker. I should be planning next weekend and even thinking about having to do stuff makes me exhausted. :joy:

Found this funny. No offense taken. Congratulations on your double 6’s
