Made it through the hottest day! But at what cost, I will have to find out the next couple of days. Nature is messed up because of the heat, birds kept me awake with their songs in the middle of the night!
Not in a good headspace today. The nightmares are back, I feel my depression calling and I have a lot of negative thoughts. And since my brain still feels deep fried, it’s hard to reach for the mental tools I need. Maybe one more day of energy saving mode is the way to go…
Sounds like energy saving mode is the way to go. Extreme heat and cold really do impact how your brain works. I’ve know it to be an epilepsy trigger and even alter the effectiveness of some psychotropic meds.
Hopefully like most things this to will pass. I’d send hugs but it’s way to warm for that.
Sun is shining, but luckily the heat wave hasn’t reached yet my country. I have a nice and lazy morning, coffee and easy indie music. Today I’m gonna go for a walk, read books and just enjoy of the solitude and my own company. I wish you all a good one, stay strong!
Hello dear community the heatwave is going on my nerves and got actually sick a bit as a consequence of moving from colder air conditioned places to outside world… anyways, have to stay at home for some days so will dedicate the time to some planning of my future, development and this stuff.
I was up early this morning so I made a decision to start deep cleaning my kitchen at 10am … it’s currently 2.30pm and I am still going lol
Just having a quick coffee break , the heat’s getting up there now . It’s been very therapeutic though having a good sort out and rearrange . Just slight changes to the environment ect .
I’ve had to have a break though I used too much bleach and ended up dizzy . I forgot to open the windows
I’m aiming to get on a zoom meeting tonight especially with it being Saturday and I can feel myself winding up a little bit. I’ve done some breath work and once I’m done cleaning il do some more and maybe treat myself to a little power nap .
Me and my partner’s family had an amazing day out at Edinburgh Zoo yesterday. It’s such an amazing place.
The less said about the 9 hour 200 miles journey home in a heatwave the better.
@CanadianGirl Way to crush is Tisha - 18 months and going strong
@james83 Well done on going home and not joining your colleagues. I know the mind wants to play the woe is me and fomo card trying to convince you that you are not ever going to be able to connect with your colleagues. This you and I know is false. We just know that for NOW you need to protect your sobriety and not put yourself in situations where temptation creeps in. There is sooo much more to life than pubs. Grateful you got to spend some time with the fam

Checking in on Saturday morning
A slow moving start to the day but I have managed to get in a swim. Had a possible moment for mayhem but I feel cause I didn’t engage I was blessed with over an hours of not having to share a lane while swimming. Now that is a blessing.
I have enjoyed sometime with my coffee and TS and now going to work on some PT exercises and possibly try to lay down before work.
Wishing everyone a wonderful addiction free day - sending you all so much love
My partner adores sloths. We spent 2 out of 7 hours at the zoo in the sloth enclosure She’s also spent 3 weeks in Costa Rica at a rescue ranch for them and that’s virtually on the other side of the world, our house is full of sloth plushies too.
They ARE very cute, though.
Day 1595
I have been at work for 1.5 hours now. It has been a quiet morning. On the way here tho, it was hectic and I swore I was going to be late for work. There was an incident downtown that stopped all train traffic through the core. So i had to take a shuttle bus to City Hall, then the train, then another bus to work. Thankfully I got here on time
My day is turning around. I dont particularly feel like being here but Im grateful for having a job none-the-less.
I really hope everyone has a lovely day! Lets do this day addiction free!
