OOH I am intrigued by that pair up. Sounds delicious and yeah - weird how some food pairings can help with the cravings. I absolutely loved spicy stuff and can’t wait to have that diet back. Enjoy your fun spicy snacks/ meals
@Amelie Sending hugs and love - Wishing you a relaxing and easy going Sunday

@Witoz Congrats friend - well done . Great to see you checking in.
@Raspberry Thanks love - I am loving the YouTube tutorials. I tried to learn years ago but nothing clicked. I did pick up knitting at that time and now I am glad to be picking it up. Imagining all the fun I am going to have creating new things LOL. Swimming gives me a wonderful feeling - so therapeutic. The water does beautiful for the mind and body Much love friend. Hope you continue to get some sleep without interruptions
@Marieke Lovely to hear that you have made friends irl! I totally get feeling crappy after having the social interaction. It can be super draining (even when its fun at the time). Grateful you did not drink over the stress Hope today is treating you better
@Seb Grateful you had family around you. Much love friend. Sending hugs and love. @Finn Congrats on your 2 + weeks of sobriety. I am so very sorry about your depression and anxiety. I do hope the meds start working for you soon. Please keep yourself surrounded by support as depression breeds on isolation. We are here for you friend. Keep staying strong
@MrMoustache Well done on your 7 months AF! I do hope the walk was helpful. Are you listening to your reggae? Can you reach out for support? We are here for you friend. Sending calming happy vibes your way!
Smart move friend. Way to protect your sobriety. Hope the guilt goes away. I am sure your friends understand your reasoning. I get what you mean. Taking on more than we can handle can be part of the addictive personality. It is not an easy mindset to change. It is ok to say no to plans or obligations. You are allowed to take time for yourself. I am now also realizing that all my tasks set for the day / week / month are not always a “must” and I will not break if they don’t all get done.
@Jwfletcher4792 Well done on your 1 week of sobriety! Way to go friend. So happy to see you here working on your sobriety
@Violagirl 300 days!!! Whoohoo! So very happy for you I’m sorry that you are dealing with such fatigue love. Hope you are able to take it easy and rest up. A snooze on the couch with a doggo sounds perfect!
Huge congrats! Double digits tomorrow Glad you were able to navigate through hanging with the friends while sober. Waking up with a clear head and no hangover is priceless - never gets old.
Oh hun - this made me very happy to read!

Wowzers! A huge congrats Stef. So happy for you - yippee to all of it… love that you were able to do a chest to bar pull up- impressive and not a little thing. Glad you are feeling proud and that you had support show up for you. Keeping showing up and kicking butt
Checking in on Sunday afternoon
It has been a decent Sunday. I am grateful for my gym session. I was able to get September’s movement challenge completed in week 1 and feeling good about that. I won a tee shirt LOL. Possibly will get a month free membership.
Came home to tidy up and make a healthy brunch. Catching up on TS and then gonna rest up. Not sure what else I will do with my day… possibilities are endless.
Wishing everyone a wonderful addiction free day - sending you all so much love
Some more days alcohol, nicotine and binge eating free.
Had some heavy headaches again, which can be sugar wirhdrawal symptoms. I hope it will get better tomorrow. My belly is already feeling better. Almost no cravings today.
Tomorrow I‘m back at work after my 2 week vacation. Feeling okay about it. I wouldn‘t mind to have a few more days off, but it is what it is and I am really grateful for my job.

Anyone played Mahjong? I learned it yesterday and it is quite fun. Talked to my girl in a Mexico today for awhile on WhatsApp video call. She is doing great so I am feeling good about that. Very thankful!!!

Checking in: day 177 alcohol-free and 10 years cancer-free!
10 years ago today I had surgery and I was officially cancer-free. It has been a long recovery, in fact I will never fully recover, but I have come so far in 10 years. I am happy and proud to share this important day with you, my sober pocket family!
I am very emotional today, reflecting on everything that happenend the last 10 years. There have been some big life changes, becoming sober being one of them. Also choosing to walk the world alone again and leaving my long term partner. Having a big mental health crisis and finally getting the help I need. It’s been a rough 10 years. But I am here and feeling proud for once in my life.
Today is a day of celebration. I’ll celebrate by being alive, being present and being as healthy as I can.
Thank you for letting me share this day with you. Stay safe and sober everyone!
30 days THC free, 213 without booze. I’m waiting my psychologist appointment. Feeling still like shit, but no can do. Gotta just stay positive. Have a great 24, sober peeps!
Flying home today from a nice trip with family! 8 days sober and feeling really peaceful inside. I still can’t really understand how one small change in my plan has had such an impact on the stress and anxiety that usually came with quitting drinking before. Last night my reading talked about how anger is poison for the alcoholic and drives us to a place where we feel the need to drink. Thus, it’s critical to work to avoid anger in our lives which for me is a tall order in reflection because someone is always pissing me off in construction work lol But, overall I am doing good and feeling happy to be enjoying a nice breakfast with my wife in the airport and not feeling rushed or anxious just at peace.
