Day 300

Very very tired today for no real reason. My legs feel like lead. Still there is nothing desperate that needs doing so I’ll lie on the couch with a dog and snooze.

Wishing everyone a good solid sober 24

Day 9 check-in! Hi everyone! I haven’t checked in the last few days, but I made it through Friday and Saturday. My husband and I had our date night on Friday and when I came out from laying with the kids, a couple was over (friends of ours) that were in the area. They were all having a drink. I was a bit awkward at first, because I would normally join in, but instead, I got a sparkling water with some ice and alot of lime and was fine. Yesterday, we had a pool day, and I’d normally make myself a pool drink, but I made myself some ice water instead. It feels good to wake up fresh and to have slept well. Have a great weekend everyone!

Day 2087,

No meeting nearby, so I went to church this morning. The preach was not my thing, I couldn’t resist some non-verbal reactions towards it. But that was it, happy with my program, but maybe I did hear the preach for a reason. Happy with my pic afterwards…

Much love :four_leaf_clover::heart::folded_hands:

Good afternoon all. Some great posts here today, really uplifting. @EFountains well done, reading posts like yours just makes me smile and think yeah sobriety is such a better way of life, especially for me.
@Dolse71 and so on to another day, love seeing you doing so well and I remember 5yrs 11 months and 17 days ago reading your posts while I was decorating at home thinking Id never ever be able to get free.
Its taken me a while but now I get it.
@Mno I hope you enjoy your break friend. 0.0s, I enjoyed my couple on holiday and did find myself thinking Id get a couple in to have a shandy with when I get home. It has since dropped way down my list of priorities and Im more than happy with my fresh orange and sugar free lemonade. Moving into mug of tea weather now anyway.
Hope you all manage to have the best day you can today.

Day 1666 clean and sober
Day 2 free from compulsive eating behaviors

Good morning everyone! Its a suuuper gloomy, rainy day here in Calgary. Its kind of nice actually :cloud_with_rain: Im at work for another shift. Have 6 more hours to go.

Today, I signed up to give blood on Sept 23 for Childhood Cancer Awareness month. My son is coming with me for support  I feel soo blessed that I am healthy enough to give back. There will be other parents there giving blood also. Itll be my 1st time. I was supposed to go last year, but i got ill and couldnt go. Hopefully this year will be a better opportunity.

All n all, today is a quiet day. After work, Ill head home to wash up my husbands work clothes. Then relax. Tomorrow is a holiday here (Labor day), and so i might try to see if I can go to the gym for a weight lifting session. We shall see.

Have a lovely day everyone!

Yes!!! I wholeheartedly believe that some of the things we experience happen for a reason. I used to get this way at meetings sometimes. Certain shares would cause “non-verbal reactions” in me but when looking back, those shares taught me something. Even if it was something as small as teaching me acceptance, kindness, patience, and/or tolerance

Day 419 AF

I successfully completed my first CrossFit competition yesterday! :flexed_biceps:t3::partying_face: It was SO much fun and also really challenging. All 4 workouts went really well. We didn’t get first place but we also didn’t get last place. That was our goal, to not get last. We were the oldest team (combined age) in our group so to beat a few youngsters felt good. Also I don’t even care where we placed bc we did it. My boyfriend, mom and step dad came to watch and were super impressed. I think they understand things a little bit better now. I also finally got a chest to bar pull up. Silly as it might sound, little things like that make it so worth it when stuff clicks. Feeling really proud of myself today and taking a much needed rest day. Crazy that we are 6 weeks away until we head to Arizona for the next comp.
Really really thankful for my sobriety and hope you all are having a great weekend.
